just wait
take a breath of air before you faint
take a breath of air before you faint
height: 5'6
weight: 110lbs
build slim ("dancer's build" as some call it)
eyes: A rich blue color. She has really shapely eyes framed by very thin, well shaped eyebrows and thick but light (in color) eyelashes. She wears mascara and sometimes eyeshadow (for special occasions).
hair: Brown and wavy-ish, halfway down her back. She straightens it when she feels like it. She's highlighted it with blonde and light brown before but it's kind of a darker brown now.
distinguishing features: Her eyes. They're very expressive. You don't even need to look at her moth; if she's happy, you'll know because her eyes will be. Even if she tries to hide her emotions, her eyes will show the world how she feels.
tattoos and piercings: Ears pierced, but she doesn't wear earring very often. She isn't too into tattoos or piercings everywhere, although she has nothing against them and doesn't care if others have them.
personal style: Her style is girly, but not in the typical "high heels and frilly tank tops in hot pink" kinda way. Her clothing is put together, but it's her own, and she doesn't care what other people say. If her style was food, it might be "classic" with "preppy" sauce, infused with a "rocker" marinade, and with a little sprig of "indie" on top. Basically, she wears what she wants, but those are her influences. She's generally pretty conservative at school, but if she wanted to go on a date or a night out, she could "let her hair down", so to speak. She likes color, but not anything bright and neon. She pretty much picks out to wear anything she thinks is cute or funky, and goes with her personality and however she's feeling that day.
appearance: Jessica is a slim girl with long wavy-ish, dark brown hair. Her nose is slim but curved down at the bottom, but otherwise nondescript. Her main features are her eyes and her smile. Her lips arwe slim and long and usually coated in lip gloss. Her smiles are usually close-lipped and rather small, but when she laughs or when she's really happy, she full-on grins, teeth showing and all. She used to be more self conscious about her smile because in middle school, she had braces, but now that they're gone, her pearly whites are straight and she's not afraid to show 'em. Her eyes are shapely but wide, except when she grins and they tun into two crescent shapes. They're a very rich, clear shade of blue, brought out by her (usually mascara-coated) eyelashes and very thin but long, curved eyebrows. Her skin is a tannish-olive tone, but this is more due to genes than her spending tine outside, because she doesn't play outdoor sports.

do you think you're right,wronged,
or do you think you'll fight?
or do you think you'll fight?
dislikes: meat that's not sushi, magazines that can't print anything but stupid stuff like celebrity gossip, fur, jerk/a-hole/perverted misogynist guys, stupid comedy and romantic comedy movies, people with nothing in their heads, rap music, meat heads, bright neon colors, uncomfortable clothes (especially heels), being forced to do stuff against her will, death
strengths: She's very passionate about her beliefs. She's a natural born leader. She is a vegetarian and a feminist. She loves writing poetry and sometimes submits it to magazines. She's very kind and spontaneous.
weaknesses: She tends to debate with people who don't agree with her. She won't stop debating until she has the last word. She will tell someone exactly what she thinks, even if it hurts them. She's very stubborn. She's not good at physics.
greatest fear: Being weak. Dying old, alone, helpless, and having done nothing important in her life.
greatest desire: To become a veterinarian and help animals.
habits and quirks: She smiles, grins, and raises her eyebrows a lot. Sometimes, she's sarcastic when people don't realize it. She jumps to conclusions sometimes.
overall personality: She is very passionate about her beliefs, but still open minded to other ideas, and doesn't put down other peoples' ideas unless they directly contradict hers. When that happens, she is likely to start a debate, and when that happens, she can't stop. However, she is good at arguing her point, and many times leaves her "opponent" hanging his head. She is a feminist and a vegetarian [except for sushi] as well as a tree hugger, and these are the beliefs that are not only strongest for her, but also the ones she ends up arguing the most.
She is emotional, which goes hand in hand with the fact that she is a poet. She writes poetry and submits it to magazines and gets paid for it. She also works as a waitress over weekends and after school sometimes to help pay for college (she's saving up ahead of time). As well as working as a waitress, she volunteers at the pet hospital and wants to be a veterinarian.

father: William Ryan, 51, lawyer
siblings: Jaime Ryan, 13, 8th grade student (sister)
extended family: none
pets: Sigmund, ferret, 2 years old
nationality: Irish, Scottish, Canadian, Italian
birthplace: Toronto, Canada
history: Allison and William both went to school in Toronto and met in high school. They were very close friends then, and when they graduated, promised to stay in touch. Unfortunately, they lost touch when William moved to England.
They didn't talk to each other again until the 10-year high school reunion. They both spent a month back in Toronto to catch up with family and in this time, they remembered how close they used to be. Soon, they started dating and decided to marry. William moved back to Toronto to be with Allison.
Jessica was born a year later and five years after her, Jaime was born as well. The two had a pretty normal childhood. Jessica was a stubborn girl from the start, always insisting on later bedtimes. Jaime, on the other hand, was more quiet. They were kind of similar; they both liked reading and animals. However, Jaime was more girly and materialistic.
Some time when the Jess was in middle school, William lost his job. He went searching for a new one and got an offer she couldn't refuse. Only problem was, it was in New York. Since Allison was a freelance writer at the time, she didn't have to worry about a job change. So, the family moved to New York, William got a job at a new firm, and all was well.

Jess stepped into the cafe and was immediately greeted by the smell of hot coffee. Ahh, Starbucks, the coffee shop that was taking over the world. Many people said it was too commercialized, but really, you just had to step away from the Frappucinos and Mochas. Because really, the stuff they made where you could actually taste the coffee didn't taste that bad. Provided you didn't load it with sugar.
Anyway, Jess is what one could call a regular at this shop. This was made obvious by the fact that the redhead cashier spoke to her as the door closed behind her. "Orange today, Jess?" he asked, shaking some of the shaggy mop atop his head out of his eyes so he could see properly. He put out his fist and outstretched his pointer finger, drawing a circle with its tip as his way of telling her to turn so he could see her dress. As she did so, half exasperated and half pleased, her dress poofed out slightly, and she clamped her arms against her sides before it poofed too much. The cashier nodded in approval. "Very nice." he said.
Jess walked up to the counter, placing her purse next to the cash register so she could go digging through it to look for money. "Hello Jake. What's up? How's the girlfriend?" she asked him.
"Not much. And she's recovering, thank god." he replied. Jake's girlfriend had recently burned her hand while cooking. "You having your usual? Cuz we're out of chocolate croissants." he told her.
"Seriously? Damn. The usual drink, but instead of the croissant ..." she scanned the display case. "... I'll have the coffee cake." she told him. "The blueberry one." Jake nodded and stepped over to the case to remove a piece and put it on a plate. "You doing anything for Halloween?" she asked to keep up the conversation.
"Carrie and I are planning to go see the Rocky Horror Picture Show." he told her with a grin, sliding the plate across the counter and grabbing a cup to prepare her drink. "We're dressing up as Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger from Harry Potter. Whadda ya think?"
Jess burst into laughter. "You know, I never thought about it, but you two could pass off as them." she said. Jake then finished making her coffee and passed her the cup. In return, she gave him a fistful of bills. "Well, good luck on your ... endeavor." she said as she took the change he gave her and dropped it in the tip jar. "And ... I'll see you whenever?" Jake nodded. Jess then picked up her purse, coffee, and coffee cake and stepped out of line.
Looking around, there were few empty seats left. The cafe was very busy today, it seemed. There was one table in the corner that was occupied by a lone person. Jess decided to approach. "Is this seat taken?" she asked, gesturing to the seat across from the person.
