you can drop me a line via PM
hey teachers, hey creatures,

nicknames: "A nickname... Well, my friends call me Ally..."
age: "I'm fourteen this year. Have been for a few months."
birthday: "Ooh... I love my birthday! It's February 14. The world celebrates it with me, eh?"
gender: "I'm a girl. Can't you see?"
orientation: "What kind of school interview is this? Sigh... well, I'm straight, thank you very much."
school year: "Let's see. It's my first year, so... freshman I guess."

just wait
take a breath of air before you faint
take a breath of air before you faint
height: "I'm just way too short! 5"0'! I'm still growing though."
weight: "The last time I checked... 107 lbs"
build: "I guess you could call me slender."
eyes: "What? I'm right in front of you and you're asking about my eyes? Well, um, my eyes are an icy blue, sometimes teal in a dark light."
hair: "I'm getting used to this. It's slightly strawberry blonde and is below my neck, about two inches after my shoulders."
distinguishing features: "Short. That's probably the first thing that would come to your mind when you see me. But I hate being called midget or something like that though, so its just a whole lot safer if you don't say a thing."
tattoos and piercings: "My mom won't allow me. I'm fourteen for pete's sake!"
personal style: "I like wearing jeans. A lot. I guess you could call me a cross between preppy and tomboyish; I like wearing plain t-shirts and black pants but I won't to wear any footwear besides my silver pair of sandals. A few dresses every now and then isn't too bad I guess. Oh, but I simply adore anything blue. It's my favorite color, also resulting in my fave dressing color choice."
appearance: "Hmm... I know a few people have called me rather 'delicate' looking before. I guess I look quite okay. I'm short yeah I get the point. And I'm not pretty enough to make someone stop in theri tracks, but I might at least catch someone's eye I think. I don't have a strikingly curvy body or beautiful height sadly, but not everything counts on appearance."

dislikes:

• being called short
strengths:
• Witty ~ Ally has a sharp tongue, and can think of a quick comeback in almost any situation. She can be sarcastic at any time, even when she should be serious.
• Good Humored ~ Ally can both understand a joke or be the joke. Either way, she doesn't mind, as long as she gets to laugh and smile along with the others. Teasing and insults are fine to her, she doesn't mind because over years, she had gotten used to it.
• Independent ~ She is a girl who can stand alone and take care of herself. If you put Alyssa in a dangerous situation and give her a gun, she will shoot.
• Intelligent~ Ally is smart, in some ways. She has an eidetic memory, so she rarely ever forgets things she learn. But she forgets common everyday things, which is a shame. She can think fast in troublesome times, and can stay calm in a famine.
• Loyal ~ Always determined to do what she wants, Ally is someone who doesn't budge when asked to change her mind, though this can sometimes lead her into danger. Unless she sees a very decent reason to switch sides, she won't move an inch.
weaknesses:
• Curious ~ Alyssa can get a little too curious about things at times, resulting in her getting into trouble somehow or other. She asks a lot of questions, which can get annoying.
• Unsure ~ Little Alyssa Woods wants to be the girl people talk about, but she cannot find the courage in her to go out and say "hey, this is me. Like it or hate it, choose." She doesn't know who she really wants to be, because at the same time she wants to pass through unnoticed.
• Immature ~ Ally can burst out laughing in silence over something that happened yesterday. she likes to dwell on old memories, causing her to act like a child at most times just to relive experiences.
• Timid ~ Sadly, Ally keeps to herself all the time. She is rather shy and prefers to mix around with people that are like her: a bit geeky.
• Clumsy ~ Ally is the first person you would suspect when you see a broken vase on the floor. She doesn't mean to do it, but when she's rushing, or sometimes just walking even, she day-dreams and looks away from where she is headed, and ends up breaking one thing or another.
greatest fear: to be told her dreams are impossible
greatest desire: to go out of her shell and be a 'somebody'
habits and quirks:
• She places the tips of her fingers on her lips when she is thinking
• Ally looks to her hands when she is nervous
• Her voice gets quivery whenever she becomes excited
• Blinks excessively when she doesn't get your point
overall personality: At first sight Ally is like any other girl. Quiet and out of the way. But at further examination she is quite blunt and over the top. Though she does not talk that much, when she does it is straight forward. She doesn't try and tip-toe over people's feelings. She is also not your typical girl. She is able to take care of herself, and that's the way she likes it.
Never knowing who may be a friend or a two-timer, it is essential that Ally always gets to know someone first before she places judgement. Ally desires someone she can turn to and cry on, someone who will not walk out the door when everyone else does, but instead forces the whole crowd to come back in. Such confidants are chosen with care, for Alyssa is well aware of the treachery that can reside in the hearts of others. This particular combination of introverted intuition and extroverted feeling provides her with the raw material from which perceptive leaders are shaped.
Ally is twice blessed with clarity of vision, both internal and external. Just as she possesses inner vision which is drawn to the forms of the unconscious, she also has external sensing perception which readily takes hold of worldly objects. Sensing, however, is the weakest of her arsenal and the most vulnerable. Alyssa may be so absorbed in intuitive perceiving that she becomes oblivious to physical reality. She, under stress, may fall prey to various forms of immediate gratification.
Ally isn't the best person to be around, but she isn't all that bad of a person either. She really does care about other people, she just doesn't basically care about what people think about her. The only things she hides for people are the fact that she is a freaky statistics and fact fanatic, always trying to think of mind games to pay with herself when bored. But if she feels determined, Ally can be serious. When needed or asked to do something, Alyssa would immediately devote 101% of her attention to her task, making sure she creates perfection.

father: James Woods, 37, surgeon
siblings: Harry Woods, 16, student
extended family: N/A
pets: Princess Raspberry (Berri), strawberry-blond golden retriever, three years
nationality: Californian
birthplace: Lake Forest, California
history: Ally was born in Lake Forest to a normal mother and a normal father. She is trilingual because her mother liked to teach her many languages, so she could speak Latin, German and French by the age of nine. The most fluent foreign language is Latin. She grew up in Lake Forest as the youngest child -older brother Harry- and the apple of her mother's eye. She was a natural hard worker, and got through her exams without much work, because she has an eidetic memory.
Early in her middle school years, she met a boy named Walter, who was, at the time, engrossed in playing with his handheld gaming device. The two of them hit it off and become close friends, regardless of their opposite gender. It was somehow easy to confide in each other, though of such different personalities. But of course, they both have a rather unpleasant title: geek.
When she entered high school, she joined a few performing arts clubs to try and make herself more outgoing. Instead, it ended in her being late for classes because time and time again she had trouble catching up with all the other club members. But of course, now that she had signed up, she couldn't very well quite. She wished maybe Walt would've joined as well, but then, no such luck. Not yet, anyway.
When the students had their field trip off to Lundy, Ally had been hit by an illness none other than a rather infamous heart disease: left ventricular hypertrophy (LVH), the thickening of the myocardium of the left ventricle of the heart. This caused her to enter the hospital for quite a while, her only company being her family and a few visits from her best friend.
When she had recovered enough to be out and about, the children that had went on the trip had returned. The news was full of it: the plane crash, the heroic students and how they all got through it together. Secretly, Alyssa was deeply disappointed that she couldn't have gone with them. She cursed her LVH cardiomyopathy, but there was nothing much she could do about it.
Due to the disease, Ally always has a tiny container of painkillers with her that she uses whenever her heart feels tight. For some strange reason, her heart feels like it is elsewhere all the time, and that, she discovered, was the beginning of high school life.
A crush.
Over the few months in the hospital, Ally had developed a crush on her best friend. After noticing rather obvious signs, Ally realized Walter had somewhat of a crush on her as well. She did not admit to it, of course. Somehow, it would seem nicer if Walter said it first. How is her high school life going to turn out?

roleplay sample:
Tonight, the darkness held an eerie sense of silence, a perfect mask to provide for the cover of sleep. Most of the crew no doubt were already tucked away, enjoying the brief repose from their daily grind. No doubt the silence, however still, was periodically broken by the sounds of bodies stirring and individuals snoring. At least, to Sy'ra that is.
Thanks to her Caitian heritage, Sy'ra's ears were more fragile, allowing them to detect the faintest sounds, the tiniest noise. Sometimes this was a blessing; she couldn't remember all the times it had helped her to diagnose a patient, or pick-up an abnormal heartbeat. But other times, it was more of an annoyance than anything else. She'd always been an insomniac, so ambient sounds at night only helped fuel her sense of wakedness.
Yawning ever so slightly, her arms reached for the sky, the taut muscles under her cream complexion rippling ever so slightly. All the tension rolled out as she stretched her body out, eventually ending the daily ritual as she arched her back, thrusting her torso up at an angle no normal human possibly ever could.
Her eyes scanned the room lazily, catching sight of the clock at on the dresser at the edge of her bed. She didn't need to turn on the light to see what it said; another handy little trait her Caitian heritage lent her. But at the same time she caught sight of her own reflection in the mirror behind the dresser, her golden eyes luminescent with the dim light they reflected. It was an strange sight, at least strange in the human sense. Sy'ra was more than used to her own brand of strangeness.
After twisting her long hair behind her, and expertly fixing it to the back of her head with a large, black clip, she slid on her uniform, preparing herself for a little late night work. She'd purposely left some things from the previous day in sickbay undone, meaning that she'd most likely need to take some extra time to get them done. Seeing as how she couldn't sleep, she use the opportunity to do so now, while she could.
Just as she pulled on her second boot, Sy'ra's ears swiveled toward the door, picking up a foreign sound. After becoming acclimated to the near absence of noise, they had been able to pick up the smallest of sounds, which in this case, included something noisily clattering down the hallway outside her door. The sound was suspicious, that much was for sure.
Without making a sound, her hands reached deep into her dresser, pulling out a small, sheathed dagger. Just in case. She slid it into the side of her boot, allowing only a small part of the thin head to peek over the edge.
Edging out of the room, Sy'ra kept her footsteps light, her tail holding itself aloft behind her. The sounds of her boots across the slick floor was barely noticeable, as she was careful to stay silent.
Finally, she succumbed to her curiosity. "Hello?" Her voice held its normal, soft undertone, but above that was a sense of wariness, of insecurity. "Is anyone there?" Her eyes scanned the dark corridor, finally fixing non a small white device on the floor. She strode over slowly, keeping her luminescent gaze darting around the hall.
As she reached down to pick up the object, she immediately recognized it as a child's inhaler. It was not dissimilar to the ones that kept in Sickbay, though most of those were larger. By the structure and size of it, this one was obvious crafted for use by a child, rather than a fully grown adult. There weren't many kids on the ship, but it wasn't too difficult to ponder a child out of their bed, sneaking through the hallways.
"Listen, I'm not going to hurt you." Now that she was fairly confident she knew what was hiding in the halls, Sy'ra stood, relaxing her stance. "Come out please, so I can help you."
