She studied the ring as Carmen put it on. She was grinning. This was so amazing! Everything was beautiful. The ring was very interesting and the dress was beautiful. Everything in the package was quite impressive. She laughed, hearing Carmen state that she'd twist her ankle if she wore the heels. "Yeah, but they match the dress well! They'd look good," She stated with a grin. "I do, go." June smiled, giving Carmen a small push toward the door to go try the dress on. Once Carmen left, June studied the remaining items a little more. They were all so pretty! Carmen reappeared in the room a few minutes later and June looked up, her eyes wide. "Carmen! She took one last glimpse at Carmen's things and then plopped down on the couch with a giggle. She shifted her note book uneasily back to her lap and gave a small shrug. "We need a week or two to get ready. I think Saturdays are the best to have parties... more people can come," June explained when she was asked when they should have it. "Say... a week from next Saturday?" She suggested, after a short time to think. She paused, glancing down at her notebook. "I could sketch up some cute invites, if you want? My dad got a scanner the other day so they should be easy to photocopy later." She was really excited for the party. She was also beyond glad that Carmen agreed. This was going to be amazing! She opened her notebook, flipping through the various pages of drawings. The notebook was almost entirely full of drawings she'd made of the island, but in the very back there were a few open pages. She was excited and wanted to start sketching their ideas now. "The basement would be good. Your's sounds amazing," June stated after hearing her suggestion. "We should find a DJ. Maybe have karaoke or something?" She suggested. As Carmen asked if she wanted to see the basement, June grinned. "Sure, I'd love to go see. If you wanna go down there, that is?" She was curious about it, but she was sure the basement would work great for their party. She herself did not think hers was all that good herself but it was the first thing that popped into her head. “ Ya we should so have a DJ and Karaoke and stuff too great idea June.” June always came up with great ideas for parties and just special events and stuff like that. “ And ya it’s no problem here come with me.” Carmen demanded in a sweet kind caring voice. She paused, hesitating for a second, before nodding. "We could blow up my drawings and try them on the walls," She agreed. She leafed through her notebook, stopping at her first page of many drawings from their island. She still didn't think they were very good, but she'd let Carmen decide. "I have lots of them from the island. You can see, if you want? But, they're nothing compared to the real deal." She handed her notebook over to her friend, wondering what she'd think. "If we don't do an island theme, my only other ideas would be a masked ball type thing, or a Hollywood red carpet style thing. But, I like your idea." June grinned. "Thank you. This is going to be so much fun!" June giggled. She stood, following Carmen to the basement. Arriving down there, she scanned the room before smiling. It was perfect. "I love it Carmen! This would totally work for the party!" She agreed. Carmen was happy with either or and if she chose the island or the Hollywood red carpet one Carmen could bring up the Masquerade thing for the dance instead. "And, I'd say either the masquerade idea or your island theme. They both sound like fun!" She replied with a shrug. She was really excited now. A masked dance always sounded like fun, but she loved the beach. Beach parties were exciting, too. She'd be happy with whatever type of party they decided to have. "Like it? I love it." Snatching her notebook off the table, June rushed back to the basement still grinning. She flipped through the notebook and in no time had reached the start of her island drawings. "What do you think?" She asked as she held the notebook out to Carmen. "Awesome." June added as Carmen stated she'd let her know. She was really excited for the party now. And, she was glad Carmen and she were talking once again. Erin would be glad to hear, too. notes: Haha, I dunno. xD Maybe June's dad or grandma calls freaking out since she didn't tell them she was leaving. Carmen could not believe how fast June got her sketch book. “ O I like this one.”Carmen told her pointing to the one of a sunset. “ I like this one also.” Carmen told her this time pointing to a picture of the forest on the island. When she flipped the page she saw a picture of the plane when it was crashed on the beach. The detail on the page was amazing. “ Wow June this one is really good. The few people who had seen her drawings of the island had said they were good. But, June didn't believe them. People always did say the artist was more critical of their work then the viewers. "We can use any of them. Or, I can sketch some different ones." She offered. Before she could say much more, her cell phone began to ring. Pulling it out of her back pocket, she eyed the caller ID before picking it up. "Hello?... hi, Granny... where am i? I'm at Carmen's house.... Davis. Carmen Davis... hold on." She held her hand over the receiver and gave Carmen an apologetic look. "Just a second, my Grandma needs to talk to me. It'll only take a second. You can look through the notebook, if you want?" She apologized. Stepping around the corner, she picked up the phone once more and continued to talk. It took her about five minutes to convince her Grandmother that she was fine, and then another five to convince her dad that she was really at Carmen's house and that she'd be home in time for dinner. Coming back, she sighed. "Sorry about that. I might have forgot to mention I was leaving..." She trailed off, shaking her head slightly. "They want me home in time for dinner in a half hour. My dad invited you, once he realized we were talking again."
