history: Margot and Harrison met during Margot's tour of duty in Harrogate, UK. Margot had only just started her five year tour. She was a linguist and translator and Harrison was a fire fighter, they met in one of the local bars. It was a rollercoaster relationship as Margot was a member of the Army and she did not really have a lot of time to spend with Harrison. The couple were together for two and half years when they decided to get married and nine months later their first child Lana-Kate was born. A beautiful red-headed, happy girl. Eight years into the marriage their second child arrived, Matthew. Just as beautiful as Lana-Kate was.
For a five year tour, Margot decided to stay in the UK a little longer due to the birth of her children. So both Lana-Kate and Matthew attended the local Primary school. Matthew enjoyed school very much but Margot knew that one day the Barrnett family would have to move to the USA one day. As she could not keep her commanders waiting any longer. She told them that she wanted your youngest children to finish Primary school so at the age of ten, Matthew and his family moved to New York. This was when Margot transfered to NCIS. She wanted to be close to her children. Junior High was hard on Matthew, as it was very different compared to the British school he attended.
This was where he saw Alyssa for the first time, he remembers the day as if it was yesterday. He was walking onto the school campus with his sister and asked if she was an angel. That was the day he fell in love with her. This was also the same time that he realised that he wanted to become a firefighter; as all of his young life he wanted to be a Soilder like her mother. However, that was until the day she was shot by a fellow NCIS agent who was working as a double agent. She almost died and it almost destroyed the family...[/ul]
