Okay, so our site has nearly died. I'd love to try to save it... and to do so, I've decided to create a list of possible solutions. Most of these are plot changes. Please let me know what you think of them. Just post in this thread or PM me. You can even post as a guest. This is very important and EVERYONE'S OPINION MATTERS. So, please, post here. Thank you!
• Resume the site from where we left off. By this, I mean that we simply pick up where we left off. This would mean that the school year just started, the kids are still shook up over the whole 'plane wreck' thing, and it's late August. Nothing would change from before our site fell inactive... and the plot would basically be the same.
• Skip to Winter Break or another break in the school year. School would not be in session and basically it'd just be a town role play for a couple of weeks. This would be a few months or nearly a year (depending on the choice) from where we left off. You'd have to let me know your thoughts on this one.
• Skip to the end of the school year. Graduation time! This would be the end of the school year and it would mean that summer would be right around the corner for the students. Nearly a whole school year would have passed since the beginning of the site, which leaves a lot of room for plotting. The seniors would be graduating, which would leave the option open to allow towns people. All the other grades would be moving up...
• Skip to the next school year. As in, all of the current freshmen would be sophomores. The current sophomores would be juniors. Juniors would be seniors and the current senior characters? Unless they got held back, they'd be out on their own and graduates. We'd make a new cateogory and areas for them.
• Summertime. I'm thinking this would be about a year after the Flight to No Where. It'd be summertime... and, well, we can work out ideas for this one.
• Let the site die. Finally, we have the easiest option which is to just let the site die. I'd hate to do this, but if you think it's the best option... well, that's fine. Please don't hesitate to let me know. Thanks

Hey Maddie! Glad to see the site is trying to get back on it's feet!
Ok, so... I was thinking about the plots you had laid out above, and I thought maybe we should either pick up from where we left off or start winter break... I'm not too enthusiastic over a complete new year... because the members who had created seniors barely got a chance to RP them, if you know what I mean.
Hope this helps, and I hope the site will get blooming again!

Hey Kirr!
First off, thanks a lot for your input! It does help quite a bit. =) I definitely get what you're saying about just starting from somewhere in the current school year. =) It would give the seniors more of a chance to role play with their characters as students instead of town people. =)
Anyway, I'll definitely consider this. If you have any more ideas please just let me know on that too! I hope this will help the site get up and running so that it will be as active as it was before, if not more active! =)

Hey Maddie sorry i have not been on much to help you out with bringing the site back. I agree with Kirr that we should start back up with eaither when we left of or maybe like start back with winter break and we could make new places and things to do for winter. I could even make a new skin to keep with the time of year. I am still grounded and have to sneek on but once i am done being grounded i promis to help you with the site more...

I'm liking the idea to start back at winter break. It'd give us more options for the direction of the plot and such. =) But, I'm not totally sure yet. Of course, I'm welcome to suggestions. Hehe. If you guys have thoughts about what we could do to the plot to make it better, please let me know on that too.

I'm baack.... It would be great to get the site up and running again. I'm willing to help  I think the best option is starting after Winter Break. It would be like we just got back to school from a long recess...which we have. OR Start a new site, with the same characters...Like have them go back to the island or another different one? They coincidentally crashed again? Ha ha. I think I've been watching too much LOST. But I think starting during Winter Break kind of takes away the whole "surviving a plane crash" theme that we had before (which I loved). So I don't know...do something that maintains that theme. And a fresh start might be good on a different website. Good to see you guys again! |

good god you all probably thought i abandoned lol well i was super busy especially with the new school year so i promise i am back lol it has been super crazy at home so yeah and then i lost the URL so i panicked but then i got the email haha
i like the idea with the whole winter break thing because if we skip around too much it will mess up possible plots that could have been going on

Welcome back. =)
Anyhow, to start with, sorry I haven't replied in a bit. As for Livvy's ideas... I like them. I'm starting to lean toward the winter break idea, as mentioned. But, I definitely get what you're saying as far as the stranded idea. So, I've come up with a few possible ideas. We could either (to keep that idea going) A) create a new cateogory and allow role playing on either FTNW's island or something similiar, B) have them take another trip over winter break and end up stranded... so that we either make a new site and keep this one running or we create a cateogory for it. Hehe. Does that make any sense at all?
But, anyhow, I'm going to try to keep that idea incooperated in the new plot ideas. I hadn't thought of that before, so thanks for bringing it up!
As for Allison... first off, welcome back! and no worries. =) Thanks for your input. You have a good points with the plots thing. I don't think we'll skip any farther than winter break then. You all have brought up good points about just staying in that area. =)
And Jemma, hey! hehe. Are you feeling better now? I do really like the idea of it being later at ESH, but as Kirr pointed out, the seniors didn't really get the chance to role play with their characters as students. Though, maybe, we could try something at the end of the school year more. Then, they graduate. We have a town role play, and they take another trip. That could lead to either a new site, with this one still going, or just a cateogory of this site.
Or, we could try the winter break idea and just work through the seasons more efficiently than we have been. As in, time would move faster in the role play. Then, we could try the idea above. Until then, we could focus on ESH's fear of having another plane crash and then maybe have them decide to take another trip after all. Something similiar to FTNW could happen. Hehe. I don't know.
What do you guys think? Does any of this make sense?

I like the idea of another trip during winter! It could be something different than a beach. Some other kind of place... right now I'm down of ideas though. =(
Hmm... do you think we could reuse FTNW? Like, just change the skin or something so that we don't use up the URL options? =P Highly unlikely but you know what I mean.

Mmkay... so I've been thinking about this today (haha, during Biology when I was supposed to be watching a boring move. =P) And I've decided about what I'm going to do. So... here goes. None of this is wrote in stone, yet... but it is a fairly vague game plan. Let me know what you all think?
We're skipping to winter break. Maybe around Christmas Time? A week or so before, anyhow. I'm going to update this site and make it more winter-y and such and it'll just be a break in the school year. After Christmas and New Years pass... I'm going to say that Eastside High decided to take another trip. Where? Well, I'm not really sure. Maybe it was somewhere simple like a ski lodge and they get snowed in or something. xD Or, maybe it'll be a camping trip or a trip to another island. I haven't decided. So thoughts on that would be lovely. =)
Once we decided on that idea, I have a few ways to go with this. I could either create a category on After the Storm (This site!) and use it for that. Or, I could make a complete new board for that. But, Kirr just brought up a good point... so I'm leaning toward the 'separate category' thing. Either way, After the Storm is remaining OPEN. Life still goes on while they're stranded, no? So, this will still be going on. You can either role play in that category/board or in the regular After the Storm boards... whatever. Haha.
So, let me know what you think? I would like to start on whatever we decide on this weekend, if possible.

That'll be AWESOME. Frankly, I just want ESHS to start up and flare around again. Hope we can get it started soon! And about the trip, a ski lodge actually sounds cool! Maybe the place has like, old ghost tales or deep dark secrets or something and the students go around discovering the aforementioned secrets and stories and stuff like that?
Ok, now my mind is just wandering off. -.- I need more self control.
Anyway, let's start getting ATS to work again!

Alright, so I've decided that I'm leaving the site under this URL. I'm going to rewrite the plot, come up with a layout, and then make a a new category. We'll have a category for the ski lodge trip, and then one for just Eastside area. It'll be winter break, and there can be a sign up list for whoever wants to go on the trip. We'll go from there. =)
