It was snowing. Carlie beamed, shifting her weight from one foot to the other and then back again as she stared out the window. Little flakes of snow showered the already white ground outside and gave Carlie a sudden feeling of excitement. She'd been at the ski lodge for a little over an hour, but this was the first she'd seen it snow since they'd left New York City. She always had loved the snow... and even now it was no different. There was just something about the snow that gave everything a more fragile and pretty feeling. Carlie, for one, loved it. It was what made winter her favorite season. The snow was what made winter... well, winter.
Giggling slightly at a sudden feeling of enjoyment, Carlie turned away from the window and glanced around the ski lodge. Though she herself had arrived nearly an hour ago, she was still waiting on the remainder of her classmates. Any minute now they should be there. It was nearing two, which was the time they were all supposed to meet in the lobby. Early that day, they had been dropped off down town and were allowed to do as they wished until about now. Carlie figured they were going to meet to discuss the trip, and then be set free again... but, she didn't know.
Carlie smiled lightly to herself, grabbing her belongings and then wandering away from the window. She stopped around the set of armchairs in the middle of the lobby and sat down, still in a rather bubbly mood. Any second now, she'd be able to go sking... or, at least, she hoped so.

It was Mitchels first day at the lodge the group had only just arrived at the lodge and he himself was so looking forward to it, it never snowed in new york so he couldn't wait to get out into it. He quickly ran up to his room he was sharing with unknown people as of yet. He didn't really care currently he just was eagar to get out there. Quickly he dumped his belongings on his bed nearest the door before pulling on a large jumper to keep himself warm and headed downstairs. While walking downstairs he happened to notice a window with snow filling up most of the pane. He looked out at the sight of white snow as far as the eye can see. For him new york didn't snow as much as he wanted. He was glad he had a trip like this to go to. A smile appeared on his face when he placed his hand on the glass feeling the cooling sensation addictive making him want this even more. He continued down the stairs to the main lodge. He glanced around quickly and instantly spotted the one person he was most looking forward to see. Quietly he crept upto her and jumped on her knee
"hello!!" he squealed in delight being unable to not jump up and down on her lap he was in a really hyper mood and by the looks of it he could tell carlie was also hyper just by looking at her at the other end of the room he could tell she wanted to go out into the snow as much as he did "Well I'm a glad you're here ive got a snow buddy" he said smiling happily. He didn't really care he was squishing her with his weight it was all fun in his eyes and he knew carlie well enough to know she wouldn't be mad at him.
"I REALLY WANNA GO IN THE SNOW" he shouted to the whole lobby "wait that rhymes" he giggled before pulling carlie into an invlunterry hug. He was just so hyper he couldn't really control himself. He had only seen his best friends like when they arrived but it didn't matter he missed her and felt the need to give her a hug

Swaying back and forth slightly, Carlie continued to smile to herself. She slid her cell out of the pocket of her jeans and eyed the time. No sooner than she did so, however, did she suddenly get a scare. She nearly dropped her phone, letting out a small shriek of surprise as Mitchel Carter suddenly appeared on her lap. Regaining herself, Carlie started to laugh, a slight flush of embarrassment tinting her rather pale cheeks as she relized that several of the people in the lobby were now looking in their direction.
"Mitchel!" Carlie beamed once more, resuming her previous swaying as she greeted one of her best friends. She stuck her tounge out at him, and lowered her voice as she continued. "You scared me!" Giggling once more, Carlie shook her head. Mitchel was clearly excited for the snow. Carlie's excitement only grew. Though it snowed in New York, there really wasn't much of a chance to enjoy it. "I'm glad you came, too! Now I have somebody to go skiing with!"
Her eager mood continued to grow as she slid out from under her friend, sticking her tongue out at him once more. Another gasp of laughter escaped her as Mitchel shouted. "Mitch! Calm yourself," She grinned, shaking her head jokingly. She was just as excited, but she was trying hard to contain herself. She let him pull her into an involuntary hug and then slowly returned it. She hadn't seen him since that morning, but they hadn't had much of a chance to talk. Not to mention his hyperness was starting to make it hard for her to control her own eagerness.

It was so hard for him to contain himself he had been waitied to go on this trip for weeks he hadn't been sleeping theese last few nights either because he had been that excitied to ago he just was not able to fall asleep. He didn't mind though and didn't seem tried one bit. When the trip first got annouced he was hesitant about it as he thought it was another bad trip just waiting to go wrong but when he heard it was to do with snow he just couldn't say no he was one of the first ones to pay and say he was going on the trip he wouldn't miss out for anything. "hehe i scared you, your scary yourself have you seen your face recently" he winked teasing her. He joked before laughing again
"Can we like go skiing right this second or atleast sit in the snow and make snow angels or something" he begged "pweasee" he said in a baby voice. He felt her slip from under him which resulted on him landing on the chair "I really really wanna" he said trying to pout while act like a baby he never usually acted like this it was just the hyperness had gotten him all excitied for the snow and he could possibly die from all the anticaption of just sitting inside when all the snow was out there. He had so many thing he wanted to do in the snow. However he just didn't know what to do first there was so many things he could think of at the very second. he stood up looked over to the window wanting to be out there right this second

Carlie once again began to shift back and forth and then giggled lightly at herself. Her eyes drifted towards the window once more, watching the snow fall down as she did so. The snow seemed to grow in size and start to come down more steadily and Carlie noticed a few more people join them in the living him a playful gasp. "Clearly you are mistaking me for yourself, deary," She concluded with a dramatic wink and a slight laugh. Of course, she was only joking, but she knew that Mitchel was too. It was just the way they were.
At Mitchel's eagerness, Carlie couldn't help but to grin. She pretended to consider it, but, at the mention of snow angels, she lost it. She beamed, shooting up from their chair. "Oh my gosh! I haven't made a snow angel since I was little! What are we waiting for? Let's go!" She paused, glancing to the window. "Race you to the door?"
Without waiting for much of a response, Carlie took off towards the door. She momentarily forgot about her belongings however, and tripped over one of them. This caused her to land on the floor in a slight fit of laughter. Clearly, all the caffeine in her coffees was starting to get to her. "I'm okay," She managed with a sheepish grin between giggles.

"aaaah!" Mitchel screamed at the top of his voice as she fell as he thought honeastly that she had injured herself. His cheeks redenned as everyone was now looking at the pair of them. With one of them on the floor in laughter he felt like an complete idiot for making a scene in front of the entire lodge "You are way to hyper!! you need to calm down everyone is looking" he said teasing her holding back a laugh because he knew everyone was looking at them people because what he was doing aswell as her. "come on you, you really need to get your ass off the floor you know" he laughed as he knelt down besides her as she rolled on the floor giggling like a five year old. He loved when him and carlie acted like this it didn't care what age he was he could always act like a five year old when he was around her and he loved being able to let loose with her.
"Your gonna loose the race to the door" he said before bolting for it heading outside face planting the snow lying face first in the snow waiting for carlie to come outside. She was taking her time and now his face was getting cold but he was determined to wait until she joined him face planting the snow

Carlie giggled a bit more, sitting upright and adjusting her boots. As Mitchel pointed out that now everyone was looking at them, her cheeks started to turn red. She was still laughing, however. The whole thing was rather amusing to her. "Oh well, it's just because they wish that they were having this much fun," She joked, giving a small shrug. She was enjoying herself, and was actually glad that she came. She loved being random and hyper with Mitchel; they always seemed to have a good time one way or another. She stuck her tongue out at Mitchel at his next remark and then finished fixing her boots. "Eh, I'm pretty content with my ass on the floor, thank you." She joked, stubbornly.
However, as he stated that she was going to lose the race to the door, Carlie suddenly changed her mind. She went to hoist herself up, but by that point Mitchel had already started for the door. "Cheater!" Carlie called after him in a joking manner. A few more heads turned, but she just brushed them off. Brushing off her butt, Carlie started for the door. She slowed her pace however as she spotted Mitchel plop down in the snow outside. Glancing over her shoulder, Carlie decided to just leave her luggage in the lobby at the chair. It'd be fine.
A few seconds later, Carlie skipped on out the door and on over to Mitchel. She walked over next to him, grinning slightly as she formed a snowball. Of course, since he had his face planted in the snow, she felt the need to hit him with the snowball. So, after throwing it at him, she shifted back and forth next to him. "Cold yet?" She laughed, "I mean, typically, you make snow angels without face planting..."

He felt a snowball hit him on the back of the head knoiwng it must be carlie fianlly getting outside to join him in the snow. He was getting colder by the second normally he didn't really mind the cold but staying this long in the snow without moving it was making him start to shiver "Yes I am very cold" he mumbled into the snow but still did not move at all wanting to surprise carlie and tackle her.
He bided his time and when the moment was right he jumped up screaming and wrapped his arms around carlies waist and tackled her to the snow falling down besides her "See not the only one who is cold now" he laughed rolling playfully around the snow creating an odd shape which didn't look like much of anything to be honest.
He stood up again and looked down at carlie "now this is a proper snow angel" he said and fell back into the snow before moving his arms and legs left to right forming an alright but not perfect snow angel. he stood up "Damn" he said to himself

Carlie giggled, shaking her head as she heard him say that he was very cold. "Then get up, silly," She stated, with a slight grin. She stared at him for a second, seeing him not move. So, she knelt down and scooped up some snow, making another snowball as she waited. She had just started to make the snow compact together when suddenly Mitchel jumped toward her. Screaming, at that. Carlie screamed, surprised by this. She dropped her snowball and fell back into the snow with Mitchel.
"Mitchel!" She gasped, laughing rather hysterically as they hit the snow. Okay, he had defiently scared her. Again. She made a mental note to get back at him. She shivered slightly, shifting down into the snow and sticking her tongue out at him. "Is it your life mission to give me a heart attack?" She questioned, jokingly. "And you're right, now we're both cold!" Carlie giggled, shaking her head slightly as she rolled around in the snow some. It was cold, but it felt good.
Carlie watched as Mitchel stood up, and stated that he was going to make a proper snow angel. Jumping up onto her feet, she watched as he fell back and attempted to make a snow angel. She giggled once more, shaking her head slightly. "It's pretty darn close... but, not as amazing as my snow angel. Watch and learn," She concluded, before sitting back down into the snow. She started to move her arms and legs, hoping to form a slightly decent snow angel. However, when she stood back up, she couldn't help but to laugh. Her hood had made her poor snow angel look like it had either two heads, or one really big head. "Damn it..." She shook her head slightly, grinning sheepishly. "This is the rare... two headed snow angel."

Mitchel sighed at his bad snow angel he really wnated a perfect one but could never get one he had tried so many times and failed each and everytime. "mine are always bad you know and yeah i do like to try and gice you a aheart attack" he laughed quietly a little to cold to be as hyper anymore. it was all the face planting and rolling in the snow that got him cold
"Think you can do better, you wish" he scoffed at carlie thinking hers would be better but when she sat down in the snow he couldn't help but laugh at her hood was making its own head in the snow. He looked so odd it needed a picture. He waiting until she stoof up and saw that it was a two headed snow angel he laughed pulling out his camera taking a picture.
"Picture moment!" he shouted "were both cold and covered in snow its the perfect new facebook picture i think" he said holding the camera out posing waiting for carlie to join him for the picture

Carlie laughed, shaking her head slightly as he stated that his snow angels were always bad and that he tried to give her a heart attack. "Gee, that makes me feel better," She spoke, sarcastically. Of course, she was joking. "And, your snow angles aren't always bad. That time in eighth grade when we had all the snow... you made a really cute snow angel..." She pointed out, with a small shrug. She later grinned, pulling her thin coat tighter around her.
After standing back up and examining her two headed snow angel, Carlie grinned once more. Half-embarrassed, and Half-amused, she shook her head as Mitchel pulled out his camera. "I want a copy," She giggled, studying his camera screen by standing on her toes and peering around him. "Isn't my snow angel just amazing?" She added, jokingly. As he called it was a picture moment Carlie scrunched up her nose, giggling. "Yay!" She stood next to him, posing along side him and grinning goofily for the camera. She was always one to enjoy having her picture taken. She hadn't exactly expected Mitchel to have his camera with him, though. Her's was buried in her bags somewhere.
Once he had snapped the picture, Carlie glanced back to her two-headed snow angel. The cold was starting to drain her hyper energy. Either that, or the caffeine had finally wore off. Either way, she felt like she had a lot less energy than she had five minutes before. It started to snow a little harder and Carlie put her hood on. "So, are you excited for the skiing? I haven't been skiing for a long time! I think I was ten the last time we went skiing." She giggled, shaking her head slightly. She kind of wondered if she'd even remember how to ski. But, it was going to be fun regardless.

Quickly he snapped the picture of him and carlie he loved taking pictures he always thought he was rather photogenic most of the time. then Carlie changed the subject to skiing he loved it even though he was absolutly awful at it. Last time he broke him leg on the trip so he was very nervous about doing it again. It was with his family his last ski trip so no one really knew he was around the age of 12 He sighed looking down at the floor a bit embrassesed about telling her he didn't really wanna ski the only reasons he came on this trip was to be with his friends and the snow hopefully it wasn't a must do
"I broke my leg last ski trip I went on" he mumbled not wanting to be too loud so that everyone would hear even though in all honesty "I only said i wanted to go skiing because I didn't wanna feel out a place, I really don't wanna" he said looking down at the ground "I'm afraid I am gonna hurt myself again" he said still refusing to move his eyes on the glistening white snow that was settled on the floor in front of him he could just watch he thought to himself

Carlie pulled her coat tighter around her as she studied Mitchel for a second. After she asking if he was excited to go skiing, there seemed to be a slight change in the nature of him. She shifted uneasily, rather curious as to why he hadn't responded yet. She was just about to bring it up, when Mitchel responded. Carlie frowned slightly as she heard what all he had to say. She'd never realized that the reason he had had a broken leg all those years ago was because he was skiing. "Oh my gosh," Carlie stated rather loudly. She flushed as a few people heading into the lodge turned and looked at them. Getting the hint, she lowered her voice. "I mean, I'm sorry, Mitch. I never realized that you broke your leg... skiing."
Carlie paused, brushing her bangs out of her eyes and then placing her hand on Mitchel's shoulder. She gave a meek smile, hoping to be slightly reassuring. "You won't get hurt again, Mitch. We'll take a class if we have to... or, just hang out on the bunny slope. Heck, if you wanted to we could just ride the ski lift up and down and go tubing instead." Carlie grinned, shaking her head slightly as she giggled at her idea. She didn't want Mitchel to get hurt again... at least, not on her watch. And, she wasn't sure that she could even ski any more. She was more than willing to just hang out with Mitchel and tube if that's what he felt most comfortable with. Or, taking a class for that matter.

He felt instantly bad as carlie spoke he didn't want to limit her fun because of him and he could tell she was super excitied about skiing. that wasn't why he told her about his broken leg incident he didn't really even want to ski in the first place he just came for the snow "Don't worry yourself honestly ill just watch ill feel bad if you don't have your fun because of something that happened to me a while back " he sighed trying to smile but failing miserably
"I just really don't think I can ski its too many bad memorys oh and seeing the bone sticking out my leg is something i really can do without remember and going through again" he said trying to lighten the mood on the whole thing by trying to gross her out. That was the worst day of his life on the skiing accident he wasn't very old and he cried for days because his leg hurt so much. Yes he got rushed to hospital but the images of his leg broken and the blood pouring out because the bone punctured the skin was a horrible sight for a young child to witness. So he didn't really want to repeat just kept thinking it would happen to him again and he really didn't want to go through that ever.
"but ill come upto the top of the ski lift with you if you like" he said thinking that it wouldn't be so bad beause he wouldn't actually have skis on or anything like that. While he was having this conversation he kept having an image as a cartoon as a massive snowball rolling down the hill it made him smile

"No, no, no! You won't be limiting my fun. Honest," Carlie was quick to reassure her friend. Giving a rather hopeful smile, she continued. "I mean, if anything you'll be adding to it. Tubing is insanely fun. We can spend all our time doing that! Do you tube?" Oh, god. She was rambling. Carlie grinned sheepishly, hoping her friend wouldn't notice. She always seemed to ramble when she was worried, nervous, or sometimes even lying. In hopes of him not noticing, she turned her gaze toward the upcoming crowd. Some freshman from their school. "Oh, look, it's some more of the group!"
Of course, it was a very pathetic attempt. Or, at least, she figured so. Mitchel started to speak once more, and Carlie scrunched up her nose. A rather gross picture appearing in her head. "Ew, Mitch! I don't want to hear about your bones..." Always one to be fairly easily grossed out, Carlie shook her head, trying to clear her mind. "That's just... ew!" She giggled, shaking her head as she momentarily forgot about the seriousness of the situation.
"Mitch, I'm not going skiing unless you're coming with me. I don't want you to just ride the ski lift up and watch me have all the fun," Carlie concluded, with a defiant sigh. "What if we took a class? Would you go then?" She was rather hopeful to convince him to go. His leg sounded like a horrible memory... but she remembered her mom always telling her and Luci that if they didn't get back up and try it again after getting hurt... they'd probably never do it again. This seemed to be the perfect example. "For me?" Carlie added, hopefully.
