Max chuckled. "It was beginning to get a bit stuffy in here with all the lack of conversation." he joked. He wasn't really sure what to say now, since the note that Ruki had written hadn't gotten to him yet. He didn't know whether to talk about that or something else, and what something else to talk about.
"So... Luci and Ruki..." he paused. "What years are you in?" he asked them. "I'm a sophomore." he said. He didn't think either was in his year, since he knew they weren't in his classes. At least, he didn't think so.

[ Ruki ] THE REVERSE SIDE OF BEAUTY Arching his back forward in his desk so that he could lean his arms on it, Ruki laughed a little as the girl spoke. “Since you were seven? What happened then?” Probably a stupid question, but it encouraged more conversation so he supposed he’d just have to shrug things off and stop being so worried about what to say and how to act. But she’d passed the note back to him, so Ruki distracted himself with returning a response and sending it off to Max.
Unfolding the paper, he began to write ”Just wondering. Maybe we could hang out after detention or something. I know I’ll be really bored after school.” he wrote on the paper, ”though likely not as bored as I already am, haha.” He finished and folded it back up, handing it to Max quite grandly just to prove that he could. And so with a fancy arm motion his slapped it on his desk, celebrating the fact that the teacher had gone and left for the time being. This time Max was talking and Ruki appreciated the question he asked. He was quite curious about that himself, come to think of it. It was a bummer that he doubted either of them were in his year, and Max had just confirmed that he wasn’t a junior. Oh well, “I’m a junior here.” He looked toward the girl, “You?” He hoped this didn’t get rid of the possibility of hanging out with them, but he didn’t think that they’d be that petty. It’d be cool. And there was still a chance that Luci was in his year… though honestly didn’t think so. But then, he never really did pay attention to the people in his classes… or attention to the class, either. He just kinda sat there, waiting for the bell to ring and drawing in his notebook. But Ruki felt lucky. What had been the chance that he may make friends in detention? Passing notes was actually turning out to be quite rewarding. He hoped he’d get along with the two of them. He was aware that they had just met, after all. IT DYED BY BELOVED FILTH----------OOC[ eated =o ][/blockquote]

Luci leaned back into her seat and smirked. "Yupp , It has always been loud since I was seven . I like being loud ." She responded. Luci slowly tapped her pencil on the desk as she saw Ruki give the note to Max. She smiled at the two boy's responses on their grade levels. Hopefully they didn't think Luci was older than she was. If they did, she could just lie and say she was older than she actually was. But then she decided she would go with the truth. "I'm a freshman," she smirked at those words. Hopefully that didn't ruin her chance of hanging out with them. Cause they seem pretty cool.
"Detention wasn't really a bad thing." She thought to herself.

[ Ruki ] THE REVERSE SIDE OF BEAUTY Ruki nodded, listening quietly to what the girl was saying. “Oh, I see. I’ve never really been loud. I guess I’m just naturally quiet.” He replied, hoping to keep the conversation going. Detention was boring him, and he was hoping the two he was associating with would speak up with something they could really talk about. He didn’t know what, being that he wasn’t a natural conversationalist, but he could always attempt. And that’s what he’d just have to do.
At Luci’s reply to the question regarding their grades, Ruki was disappointed. So neither of them were juniors. Well, that was alright, he supposed. While it would be nice to have friends that could be in some of his classes, it wasn’t so bad if he had friends he could hang out with after school. But he was getting ahead of himself, they’d only just met. He noticed the smirk on her face and returned it with a shy smile. She was really cute, he realized. ”Well… he began, not wanting to wait for the note to be passed, “Why don’t we all hang out after detention? I know I’ll be really bored after school, because I have nothing to do.” He was being completely honest, but he left out the fact that it was because he was lacking in friends. But the two of them seemed okay, at least at the moment, so maybe that wouldn’t be an issue with them.. IT DYED BY BELOVED FILTH----------OOC[ urgh, sorry that this really sucks. Luci quickly looked around the room to notice that the teacher still hadn't came back. She quickly swirled the desk around so she was facing the two boys. She sat on her feet and pulled her sidekick outta of her back pocket, she was thankful for Max who brought it in earlier. She flipped it up and noticed six new messages. It had only been fourty- five minutes. But there were all from Addie and Carlie asking where she was. She quickly typed back the responses and put the phone on the desk.
"I don't like being quiet. It just gets really boring." She said laughing a little. She glanced down to notice they had about fifteen minutes until they were able to go. Luci glanced around the class hoping the teacher wouldn't come into until later. She was actually enjoying herself. Luci smiled at the suggestion to hang out. "I'd love too.!" She said as she rested her head on her elbow.

[ Ruki ] THE REVERSE SIDE OF BEAUTY Watching Luci swirl around so that she could face the two of them. Ruki looked at Max for a moment, and smiled. Detention really wasn’t so bad… at least when the teacher was out of the room. Ruki pondered this briefly. Did the teacher really think that they would all just sit there and be quiet, doodling or doing homework rather than socialize? That seemed very odd to Ruki, so he was beginning to think the teacher would be coming back at any moment. Ruki didn’t fear getting into any trouble for talking during detention, but he really didn’t want to earn another detention on top of this one.
”Yeah,” Ruki said, agreeing with Luci. Ruki was normally fairly quiet himself, but she was right… being quiet was boring. No one wants to befriend someone who never talks much. And that was probably the root of Ruki’s lost friendships.
”Oh” Ruki was almost taken aback by her quick response. Cool. She wanted to hang out. He already liked this girl. She didn’t seem afraid of taking chances and getting to know people. He liked that. “Well… that’s great!” He exclaimed, then twirling in his own desk so that he faced Luci. “I have my dad’s car today, so we can go anywhere you want, really.” He then looked back at Max. “Any suggestions?” He asked the two of them. He didn’t really care what they did, he was just trying to keep the conversation going.
Ruki then noticed Luci pull out her phone, and then he did the same. The little black flip-phone flipped open. He had no messages, but he checked the time. Fifteen minutes to go. Fifteen minutes and then he’d be home free. Fifteen minutes and then they’d be going… somewhere. “Or just hanging out around the school or the mall or something could work, too.” He added.
