take a breath of air before you faint
height: 4'.9"
weight: 94 pounds
build slim
eyes: Almond-shaped and dark brown in color, almost black
hair: Yuuko’s hair matches her eyes – a dark brown varying very close to black. She often curls it or leaves it hanging straight, and she’s a fan of hair clips and bows.
distinguishing features:Yuuko’s face is almost baby-like, making her stand out and often times seem cute to others.
tattoos and piercings: Pierced earlobes.
personal style: Yuuko dresses casually, but in bright colors that show off her playful side.
appearance: Yuuko is a little nymph of a girl, standing at only 4’9” and weighing in at only 94 pounds. She has a lean, slim frame, with a tiny waist and curvy hips. Yuuko often uses clothing to her advantage, finding that bright colors and cute skirts make her stand out and appear a little more darling than she actually is. A fan of summer clothes and colors, Yuuko sometimes dress inappropriately for the school environment. But at times, she can be seen in traditional Japanese clothing, consisting of beautiful kimonos and ukatas. She just loves the material and colors that make them up, and she has no problem standing out in school. In fact… she loves it!
Yuuko has what some may call a baby face. She is very much into the cutesy look she’s known for, and will often be caught smiling for no reason at all. Her smile is a tiny one, but genuine. She has slightly chubby cheeks and a heart-shaped face with a rounded chin and jaw line. Yuuko’s hair and eyes are two of her best features. She has kept her hair long and natural, making her head of hair voluminous and shiny due to excellent care. Her eyes, with their traditional Japanese shape, stare out from just underneath her cut bangs.
She walks with an easy, steady gait, her head held high – as if she owns the world and has the power to control it. Confident strides and casual hair flips make this small girl bigger than she appears to be.

do you think you're right,wronged,
or do you think you'll fight?
or do you think you'll fight?
dislikes: Winter, cold pools, dressing in all black, being made fun of, being insulted, having her ego broken, heights, suits, being bored
strengths: She's confident and doesn't take no for an answer. She knows how to manipulate to get what she wants, and she’s not afraid of hurting others to get it. She’s a loyal friend, though, and once you’ve earned her trust she’ll be a trusting friend. She’s also an exceelent ballet dancer and lyrical dancer.
weaknesses: Yuuko is arrogant. Plain and simple. She thinks she’s the cutest thing in the entire school, and she often shows off due to this belief. When there’s a chance to shine, Yuuko is right there to snap it up, often forgetting her dignity when she fails.
greatest fear: Failure
greatest desire: Become famous
habits and quirks: grins when embarrassed, she always has on a big smile when she lies, she likes to toy with her hair when bored or relaxing
overall personality: Bubbly and playful, Yuuko is a girl that’s easy to get to know. She loves people and isn’t afraid to stand out amongst them, even though she’s as small as she is, a big personality is pumped into such a tiny package. She knows the ins and outs of general society, and isn’t afraid to go for what she wants. She wants to know everyone and know what’s going on around her in the world of high school, and is often very close to the drama that takes place in it. If she didn’t cause the drama, she was likely there when it all started.
Yuuko appears to be a very sweet girl at first, but once you get to know her it can be discovered that she’s really not all she makes herself out to be. A lot of people already know this about Yuuko, but at the same time others don’t, so it’s not easy to guess what she’s really like. But deep down inside, Yuuko only means well, even when she’s stepping on someone’s toes to get what she wants. She’s just been taught her entire life that going for the gold is the most important thing. But friends are very important to Yuuko, too, and she’s trusting enough to believe that everyone may be as loyal as she is.
Competition is a big part of Yuuko’s life. She wants to be the best, have the best, and know the best. But she’ll make sure that her friends always get some of the glory, too. But they can’t be better than her. Yuuko is afraid of failure, and will refuse to stand it, whether that means kicking her dignity to the door and having a hissy fit or not.
To Yuuko, school is not for learning, but for discovery. It’s in school that she learns about people and how they work, and what makes them tick and what she can do to make them give her whatever she may want. And Yuuko also belives herself to be the cutest girl on campus, maybe not the hottest, but definitely the cutest. So while she may not be such a bad person, she’s certainly arrogant.

we are young, we are done

Born and raised in Japan, Hokuro’s deepest desire has always been to move to the United States and live in a big city, unlike the farm he grew up on. He’s a gentle man with a good natured spirit and frequently tells Yuukko to always aim for what she wants, no matter what. He works as a real estate agent.
Mizore Watanabe - Mother
A young woman who met her husband in Chiba, she also took on a job as a real estate agent when the family moved to New York six years ago. She doesn’t fully believe is Hokuro’s “go for the gold” philosophy, but she doesn’t believe that it can hurt her daughter so she says nothing about it.
Tsukune Watanabe - Brother
A junior in high school, Tsukune is a successful drama geek, starring in many of his school’s productions and even appearing in two commercials. Yuuko looks up to him quite a bit, even though they often fight a lot.
pets: A black cat named Yami.
nationality: Japanese
birthplace: Chiba, Japan
history: Yuuko Watanabe was born by natural birth in a bathtub in her family’s old home in Chiba. She never cried once when she was born, and remained to be a relatively quiet child while she was growing up. Once she was a toddler, though, she was entered into ballet class and was put into child beauty pageants. She won over the crowd with her cutesy face and ballet basics, earning herself prizes along the way and making her mother proud.
But as she aged, soon she was too old to enter the beauty pageants that were making her famous. Soon she dropped out of sight and spent her time doing ballet and lyrical dance classes. Dance became her way of life, and what she hoped would become her new doorway to becoming famous. Unfortunately for her, though, her parents had decided they wanted to move to the United States and live in a bigger city, rather than living just outside Tokyo in a quiet area. Moving away from Japan and into the United States was her dad’s dream, and they finally had the money to make that dream come true. Yuuko was pulled out of her dance classes and swiftly put into high-end studios for new training. It was in New York that she landed her first leading role in a ballet. It went off quite well, despite the fact that Yuuko was still getting used to the regular use of English in her life.
As high school approached, Yuuko was getting tired of all the fancy schools she was attending. She was tired of her private school, and was becoming homesick more and more. Eventually she talked her parents into letting her attend a public school in New York City. That way, she could be closer to home. She kept her dance classes, though, hoping that as she became more skilled she’d become famous. It was New York, after all. She was taught that New York was the place that dreams were made of. Soon she entered her first year at Eastside High, and now all she had to do was work the dance club. Maybe she’d be discovered.

roleplay sample:
Ruki sat in the detention room, slumped back in his chair with his arms crossed. He was supposed to be doing his homework, which was what he’d gotten detention for in the first place. So he’d forgotten to do his homework again, and it was just the third day of school. He couldn’t think of a single teacher he had that was pleased with him. After all, for all three days he hadn’t completed a single question assigned to him at home. Ruki wondered if he could help it. He just got so distracted with everything he liked to do that he never even thought of school until the morning, when he took the bus. A sinking feeling would rise up into his throat, and he’d spend most of the time wondering how the teachers would treat him that day. Of course, it was Ruki, and so the idea of trying to complete some homework in the morning never occurred to him. So he was slightly air-headed in that department. But he had his other talents.
It was definitely a shame that his other talents couldn’t keep him out of detention. At this thought he slumped down further in the desk, hoping the teacher didn’t notice this slight movement of his. However, Ruki was blessed at this moment as a girl walked into the room. He stared at her, finding nothing else interesting enough to look at. There were now three other people in the room, and while he knew none of them he found the girl the most interesting, due to the fact she was late and moving around. He looked to the person sitting closest to him, noticing that they were chewing gum. It was a shame detention wasn’t for talking, as he’d be greatly enthused to have a chance to talk to the girl, or to snag a piece of gum from the chewer.
”I am sorry that I am late my bag exploded,” he heard her say. Well, that was interesting. He wished his bag had exploded, he was the one who’d gotten to detention earliest. What a dope. He should have waited a little longer before heading to detention. At this, he slid down even further. And this time, his black skinny jeans squeaked as he moved due to the leather covering the back pockets. He put his hand to his forehead and cringed, turning his head a little to the side. Great. He looked down at his bag, staring at the pins he’d placed all over it. If he distracted himself, perhaps no one would stare at him for long. Mentally Ruki cursed the quiet of the room until he heard the footsteps of the girl as she moved to take a seat. She was one seat ahead of him, as he’d taken the desk in that row that was closest to the wall.
Ruki looked up, hearing another person enter the room. Another person he didn’t know. But Ruki was grateful that none of his ex-friends had detention. He supposed that wasn’t likely as they were all much more responsible than him, but he was still glad. He watched the boy come in, not saying anything to the teacher, and he looked on as he held up a cellphone. Not his, he hadn’t even brought his today. He turned his gaze to the girl, it must be hers. She was the one who came in just before the boy. Any of the other students would likely have picked it up on their way to the detention hall. Ruki waved slightly to catch the boy’s attention and he pointed to the girl.
