Tap, tap, tap, tap. Maggie enjoyed tapping her shoes against the metal bar of the desk. It irritated the teacher immensely. She sighed and took a glance at the clock, when the bell rang. She smiled and walked out of the class, towards her locker.
Maggie arrived in the cafeteria carrying her small mathbook. She grabbed her small selection of food and sighed as she couldn't find anyone to sit next to. Maggie decided to not stand in the middle of the cafeteria as a loner, so she headed towards a table in the back. She started on her math homework hoping that someone would come along. [meeeh. -.-]

Biology was so easy... and, Jake had to admit, rather boring. He had finished his lab quite some time ago and now he could be found sitting back at his table, waiting on the bell to ring as his classmates hurried to finish their own labs. In just a few seconds he would be free to go to lunch. He was rather excited for that.
So, once the bell finally rang, Jake stood up and collected his things before exiting the class to his locker. After stopping to switch out his science book for his math book, he started for the lunch room. It only took him a minute to head through the line and pay for a slice of pizza and a milk, and by that point the cafeteria was mostly full. Jake frowned slightly, glancing around for his brother or at least someone he knew that he could sit by. He finally spotted his brother at one of the far corner tables, and was about to start toward it but then he caught sight of Maggie Stover sitting by herself in the opposite corner of his brother.
A small grin came onto his face and Jake started in her direction. He would much rather sit with Maggie instead of his brother and his obnoxious friends any day. He walked over to her table and then sat his things down next to her, smiling a rather meek smile. ”Hey Maggie... mind if I join you?” He questioned.
[ thanks for starting the thread! ]

Maggie started her math homework. Ugh, she really hated Algebra 2 . It was so confusing. She chopped hard down on the carrot. She was getting quite frustrated with it. And now her tooth hurts from biting. So she decided to put the carrot down and scoot the homework aside. Maggie reached into her bag and pulled out her almost-filled, beaten up sketch book. She had the sketchbook for at least three years now. She drew it in everyday and had at least three pages left.
Maggie quickly started on drawing a picture when she looked around the cafeteria. Man, she looked lonely and even felt lonely. But then again, Maggie always felt lonely. She didn't know why, but when she got put into srs, she just felt lonely. But Maggie has always been one of those girls who kept to themselves.
She had a very familiar voice, Maggie quickly snapped her head up to see Jake Brown. One of her closest friends. She smiled brightly and responded, "Hey Jake! And of course!" She took a sipped of her water.

”Thanks,” Jake grinned at Maggie, sliding into the seat beside her as he did so. He carefully pushed his books toward the center of the table and then sat down his tray. Then, Jake glanced in Maggie's direction only to notice her sketchbook. Maggie was one of his closer friends, and he'd known her for a while. He couldn't help but to smile at the sight of her sketch book. He was into art, but not really sketching. He liked to paint or to sculpt things. Maggie's drawings, however, fascinated him. They were rather good.
”So, how are you today?” Jake questioned, lifting his gaze from the sketchbook to Maggie herself. He hadn't had much of a chance to talk to her lately. Or, at least, within the past week. They had a few classes together, but in none of them did they sit close to each other. Jake felt rather good about getting the chance to sit next to Maggie now, ”Keeping busy?” He added after just a few seconds.
His gaze then returned to his food. He reached for his piece of pizza and took a bite, making sure to swallow before he got a drink of water. He knew he himself was keeping rather busy. With Christmas Break fast approaching, the teachers were trying to cram everything in just in time. In fact, semester exams would be approaching soon. Jake made a mental note to start studying now so that he'd be ready once they came. Not that he wasn't already... but, he liked to be extra prepared.
[ bleh. That sucked. xD ]

Maggie started sketching and grabbed some more carrots. She smiled at Jake as he sat down. Jake was one of her closest friends and she was very glad that he decided to come and sit with her instead of his twin brother. Maggie finished one of her pictures of a glass rose that she started about a week ago. It took her some time but she was actually proud of it.
"I've been good." She said with a smile on her face as she looked up at Jake. "How've you been?" She asked. Maggie grabbed some more carrots and chewed down on them. "Sorta I guess." Maggie responded with a little laugh. [[sorry , i was in a rush . ]]
