When Roburt Gerhan first married Marge Houten he was very successful. But when Marge got pregnant with their first child, Georgi, Roburt had to give up his job to help her. They survived on unemployed and food stamps. Two years after Georgi was born, Roburt back into a job, little Margaret Gerhan was born. But Marge didn't survive.
Roburt was fired when Maggie was 5. One day Roburt come home early and let the sitter go home early. Maggie, who was playing hide and go seek with Georgi, was under the couch. But Roburt was drunk and he had just lost his job so when Georgi into the living room to find Maggie, Roburt expressed his anger and suffocated Georgi in front of Maggie. Since Maggie was only five years old at the time she had no idea what was going on. When she saw her brother lying on the ground not moving she didn't dare come out of from under the couch. Two days later Maggie's aunt came to visit them. When she came she found that Roburt had hung himself in his room, the little seven year old boy cold on the ground, and the beautiful five year old girl under the couch scared for her life. Maggie's aunt took her in.
When Maggie turned twelve years old, her aunt was killed in a car crash sending Maggie to a foster home. She moved from foster home to foster home until she turned thirteen. When she arrived to Lia and Simon's house it was just Ryan and her. From then on they grew very close and depended on each other. When Maggie turned fifteen she legally changed her name from Margaret Debra Gerhan to Maggie Debby Stover.
