Lucielle Chapel pedaled fast down the street until she caught some speed. She took her feet off the pedals and put them in front of her and glided down the street. Luci had down this every day since they got back from the island. She couldn't believe how much she missed the wind through her hair. She sighed and pulled into the bike rack near the fields. She would come to the soccer field for two hours or more to run and practice. She reached into her bag and pulled out her soccer ball and kicked it pretty far. She sighed and started running up and down the field.
Luci loved running. It was one of her favorite things in the whole world. She walked over to her water bottle and stared drinking when she saw someone in the distance. She ignored it and stared running again.

- - - - - - - - - - - - Landon Holloway drove his convertible down the road, his radio volume up at a medium level, listening to one of his “pump up” songs- I Got A Feeling, by the Black Eyed Peas. He was in the mood to play some soccer, and although he could have easily practiced at home, every once and awhile he liked to practice at a field he eventually would really be playing a game at. So it made sense for him to travel to the school’s field. He pulled off the road to a spot that was a good walking distance away from the school’s fields, grabbed his gear, locked his car, and headed off. Slugging his soccer bag over his shoulder, he walked further as his mind began to wander.
It seemed weird that school was starting again. So much had happened since last year! His mind couldn’t stop thinking about all those people that got lost on their way to Lundy Island… What a crazy mess that had been! He still remembered what it had felt like when he had found out they’d been lost. A tremendous knot had formed in his stomach but he’d refused to believe it- living denial. It took him a long time to come to terms with it. He’d heard about those types of things happening every once and awhile but he never thought something like that could happen in his neighborhood. Yet, just as life goes on, so did his. He had finally begun to accept it- when it was announced his fellow students had been rescued. This summer had been such a roller coaster ride!
As the blond approached the soccer field, he realized that he’d been so lost in thought that he hadn’t been paying attention to what was going on around him. Just in front of Dallas Holloway, he recognized a figure…Carlie Chapel’s sister, Lucielle Chapel…who had been one of the people who had been shipwrecked, or plane wrecked, or whatever the proper term was…
Landon wasn’t ever in the mood to embarrass himself; specifically by asking awkward questions, or looking childish and awestruck. He also didn’t want her to get angry at him for being too…snoopy, but he had to admit, he was curious. He really wondered what it was like to be lost like that; did she wonder if she’d ever be rescued? Did she fear for her life? How was she adjusting now? Part of him almost wished he had been on that flight so he would be apart of the silent bond that connected all these lost flight people together…wait, did he really just think that? Okay, no, he didn’t wish he was on that flight, but he at least was close to thinking that way….
“Hey, uh, Chapel, right?” He said in a friendly tone to the freshman girl. “You were one of those people…It’s good to have you back.” He may have looked confident, but inside he felt very awkward.

Luci was growing tired but she had to keep working if she wanted to make the team. She had practice everyday because Luci was never social, didn't have a social life, barely even had a best friend anymore. She truly only had Jazzy and Jazzy had her other friends so Luci was truly alone but she didn't care she had Carlie. She would often hang out with Carlie and her friends but rarely. Her mom wanted her to go and meet some people but Luci would just sneak out and go to the fields.
Luci sighed and headed towards where she threw her soccer ball. She was going to shoot on goal. She dribbled the ball towards the middle of the field and started practicing her shoots. After her 10th shoot she was getting thirsty. She started running towards her bag when she saw a older guy talking to her or maybe to himself. She finally figured out what he said. "Yeah. Luci." She said sticking out her hand. "Yeah the infamous plane crash. It wasn't entirely that bad. You should have been there." She said smiling. She never truly seen the kid before but Luci thought her was pretty cute.

- - - - - - - - - - - - Landon took her hand as she extended it and gave her a handshake, listening to her response. Note to self; call her Luci. ”It wasn’t entirely that bad. You should have been there Now that made him smile. How ironic. And it was nice to see her smiling back. But what she had said…”not that bad”? His head swirled with curiosity. How interesting…well, considering that she appeared quite athletic, practicing here and all, maybe she was just more physically apt to deal with the stress of the crash…who knew? Landon wanted to know…It was just all too weird to think about; having to come back after that whole ordeal. Didn’t it change you? Landon couldn’t imagine…Well, maybe she was right and it wasn’t as bad as most people thought. He tried to keep his curiosity at bay. A part of him hated not being in on all this. But he would deal.
“Oh, really?” He asked. “Well, I see you like soccer. Did you practice over there?” He took his ball out of his bag, and played with it in his hands before dropping it to the ground. He then followed this action by placing his soccer bag on the ground.

Luci smiled and threw her water bottle back on the ground. "Nope when we crashed I lost my soccer bag." She said remembering the trip. Losing her best friend to the guy she liked getting close to her sister, Luci sighed and looked up to the sky. "Whats your name?" She asked as she turned her attention back towards the boy. "So I'm sort guessing you play soccer too?" She asked hoping that he wouldn't think she was weird for stating the obvious. She looked down and rubbed her feet into the dirt. Luci had just gotten new soccer cleats but she had already wore them down.

- - - - - - - - - - - - Landon Holloway nodded sympathetically when she told him that she’d lost her soccer bag during the crash. That’s the part of the whole “getting stranded” thing that that Landon wouldn’t be able to stand; to go so long without soccer?….the thought made him nervous. Not only that, but he wondered what other things they went without. Books? Pens? Paper? And perhaps if he’d been numbered among those people he would have lost his guitar too…Yes, indeed Landon Holloway was spoiled, and he knew it, even if it sometimes made things awkward when he interacted with other people. He was about to ask her what kinds of other things they lost when Luci spoke again.
“What’s your name?” He couldn’t help but smile, which completely brightened up his complexion. Perhaps it was because he was a little embarrassed that he had not already introduced himself…but it was probably more along the lines that simply liked introducing himself. ”Landon Holloway…well, Landon Dallas Holloway. You can call me Landon, or Dallas, or Holloway; whatever works.” He moved his right arm as he spoke, confident with his words as if he’d said them before several times. There was a brief moment of silence before Luci spoke again. This once more caused him to smile further, brightening his eyes. He enjoyed talking about his favorite sport. “Yep, you got it; left midfielder. What about yourself? What position do you play? Meeting new people was always entertaining. He waited for her to respond before bouncing his ball back onto his foot and the juggling it back up to his hand with a light catch; eyes still on her.

She couldn't help but smile, cause she was never able to really do it anymore since she sort' of lost her best friend to some dumbass boy. She sighed as she thought about what happened at the island. Maybe the crash was a good thing, she wouldn't really be here talking to a cute guy, he might've just left her alone.
"Landon then." She said smiling. "Right midfielder." She said smiling brightly. She loved talking about sports especially Soccer. Luci played lots of sports but she enjoyed Soccer the most, she didn't know why she just did. She rubbed her eyes. She was starting to get tired. She smiled as she saw him juggle. "Maybe he is pretty good after all." She thought

- - - - - - - - - - - - Landon noted to himself that she had quite a good smile; seeing how it brightened up her face. And he really wondered how frequently she smiled on the island ; if she was more of a pessimist or optimist. Or maybe, like she had said, the experience really hadn’t been that bad. How intriguing that she was here talking to him now like nothing had happened. She must have adjusted to the return home well. Landon nodded as she told him that she was a midfielder too. That immediately informed him she was enduring; after all, the position of midfielder, on whatever side, required a lot of running. In fact, Landon himself believed that usually the most vital player of the game was attacking midfielder, whom he always had a lot of respect for, even if he didn’t necessarily show it. People didn’t give soccer players enough credit. It took a lot of running, and it took a great amount of skill.
Thinking about soccer reminded him why he was here; to practice. And as great as talking to Luci was, Landon Holloway thought it was about time he got to it. But that didn’t mean he necessarily wanted to part ways with her. “You want to do some drills together or something?” He asked, holding his ball with his left hand.

She had no idea what the different from reality and her dreams were anymore. Did she know why, no. Maybe something happened. But she couldn't tell if she was dreaming and fell asleep on the plane and all this was, was one huge dream. Life was never truly going her way and she had no idea why. She wasn't on speaking terms with her best friend anymore, the guy she liked ran off and never spoke to her again and well her life just simply came crumbly down around her.
The fifteen year old regained her so called reality when she remembered that she was talking to someone. Someone that she hoped was actually real and not some simple dream she thought she was having. "Yeah, Yeah I guess." She said rubbing her head. Luci looked up and smiled.

- - - - - - - - - - - - It was oddly unpredictable. It seemed, despite their ongoing conversation, that Luci had left him. He could tell by her stance and facial expressions that her mind was elsewhere. Landon Dallas’ mind went quickly into “problem solving” mode. What had caused Luci Chapel’s mind to wander and leave him standing alone? Landon immediately looked to himself. Despite his very confident persona, this frequently happened; him thinking he was doing something wrong to provoke another person into not liking him or feeling uncomfortable. Well, in this case, her wandering mind did not necessarily mean she didn’t like him, nor did it necessarily mean she felt uncomfortable; it could mean a number of things. But that thought did not entirely heal his scrambled head. He quickly recalled their conversation in his mind; checking to see if there was anything he could have done that would have provoked a distaste on Luci’s behalf…He could find nothing. Was it simply…dare he think it…he was boring? Nonsense! At least, not at this moment…He was being rather nice and friendly, or so he thought. No, surely he wasn’t being boring or uninteresting…
Then maybe…something else was pressing on her mind? It was a logical thought that didn’t leave room for Landon to feel embarrassed. She had survived a plane crash after all. Yet of course! But was it a major problem that was causing her to be so distant, or something minor? He could not tell. And she left him no time to. It seemed that as soon as her mind had left him, her consciousness returned and she replied affirmatively, just as happy as before. Landon nodded, starting to turn to walk toward the field; motioning her to follow him. “Are you sure you’re alright?” He asked, staring at her through the corner of his eyes. His voice didn’t sound overly concerned yet it conveyed the emotion enough. “Not too tired or anything?”

She was really tired, but would do whatever Landon asked her. "Yeah, yeah I am fine a little tired." She said rubbing her temples. She didn't even know if she wanted to stay out here. She bent down picked up her water bottle and drank some more. She really wished it was cooler. She pushed her hair back into a ponytail and stood up to follow Landon. Her legs were starting to feel numb and going a little pale. But Luci didn't even noticed or cared. She ran her hand through her ponytail trying to focus on something else. She followed after Landon towards the field and wondered what they were going to do.

- - - - - - - - - - - - Landon continued walking out toward the field, making his way to a goal post, aware that Luci was following after him. Once he had gotten close enough, he turned his head to look directly at Luci, his eyes taking note of her weary facial expressions. He had guessed correctly. She really did look tired. Maybe practicing together wasn’t the best idea. She’d probably been here quite awhile already and he was just starting anyways. She was probably just going along wit him to be nice. He wanted to say something like, ‘nevermind. Let’s not practice’ to get her off the hook, but knew that would probably come off awkward. “Ehummm…” he opened his mouth but nothing came out. Thankfully enough, it only came out softly as if he was saying it to himself.
He decided to let it go. If she was tired enough she would say something. Besides, it would benefit both of them to practice together; even if it was only for a few moments. “Here. You wanna take turns taking shots? One of us can switch off being the goalie.”
He held his soccer ball casually in his hand. “Here, I’ll do it first.” He dropped the ball by her feet and proceeded to head toward the goal to shoot. Once he got situated, he looked back at her, nodded as if to say, ‘I’m ready.’ .[/blockquote][/blockquote] TAGS !? n/aWORDS !? 497MUSIC!? n/aCREDITS !? this template was created by dancing.diva of CAUTION 2.0!NOTES!? eh, not my best.

Luci followed Landon towards the goal. She was happy that he said they would shoot. "Yeah that would be awesome." Luci said as she stood into the goal. She loved to shoot more than anything. Well except running. Running and Shooting were her favorite things. She sighed and pushed her hair out of her. She bent her knees and got ready for him to shoot.
