[/b] Adelyn muttered slightly as she considered it. Now, instead of reporting to French first period, she'd been reporting to Algebra. Adelyn sighed at the thought.

Adelyn slid her new schedule into her binder and studied herself in her new locker mirror. She fixed her hair before slamming the door and wandering down the hallway. Room 107 was where she was supposed to be. Unfortunately, she found it right away. The room was only a few yards down the hall from her locker. Walking into the room, Adelyn slid into the desk in the back left corner by the window. She knew from yesterday that this teacher didn't have assigned seats. So, why not get one in the back? Eying the clock on the wall, Adelyn realized there was still at least ten minutes before the warning bell sounded. She was the first one in the room. She'd never been this early before. Sighing, she sat back in her seat and glanced out the window. Today was not working for her and it'd just begun.

Luci hated her homeroom more than anything. Algebra. Like really how is that a homeroom. She slammed her locker door and headed toward room 107. She pushed the door open and notice that there wasn't anyone except Adelyn. Luci walked over to the seat next to Adelyn and at down. Addie was Luci's best friend but things didn't go so good at the island so they weren't that close anymore and it hurt Luci a lot.

Luci didn't try to say anything and well succeeded. She rearranged her books again and again to keep herself busy. She looked through everything to make sure she had everything. Luci looked at the clock and noticed that she had 8 minutes.

[/b] Adelyn spun back around with what she hoped to be a friendly smile. They hadn't been as close as they were before and hadn't talked in quite some time. Addie just wanted to make things better. "I've been meaning to call you." She added as she twirled a piece of hair around her finger. She was nervous and she always messed with her hair when she was nervous. What would Luci say when she told her about her and Alex? Her stomach turned slightly at the thought. Maybe it wasn't such a good idea...?

Luci turned the pages in her notebook when she heard Addie talk. "Pretty good. Don't like the teachers. How 'bout you?" She asked looking up and smiling. She closed her notebook and put it back into her bag. She had no idea how that there was only two people in homeroom when there was 7 minutes till the bell. Lucielle had no idea how she was in the room with 7 minutes till the bell. She sighed and rubbed her temples. Why was life so complicated for Lucielle.

"About what?" Luci asked. She knew that it had something to do with the thing that happened on the island. Luci noticed Addie twirling her hair. Luci had known Adelyn forever that she knew that when she twirls her hair something is wrong or she is nervous.

[/b] Adelyn grinned, shaking her head slightly. She supposed having Algebra first thing in the morning was better than dealing with gym class with Carmen again. Last time she and Carmen had gym together, Adelyn had ended up with a bloody nose and several bruises. She really didn't want to relive that.

Adelyn continued to twist a strand of her hair around her finger. She eyed the clock and seen there was still about seven... nearly six minutes left till the bell rang. She needed to hurry. "About... everything that's happened over the summer. I'm sorry for not talking to you in so long. And, for putting this off for so long..." She trailed off, biting her bottom lip slightly. She knew she needed to tell Luci the truth, but she didn't want Luci to hate her. So, instead of continuing on, she she studied her friend for a few seconds. "Are you still friends with Alex?" She was curious, though she figured she already knew the answer.

Luci smiled "It's okay once you get used to it." She said looking at the ground. She was truly fine with her class schedule none of it included Alex so she was good. "It's fine." She said as she stared at her desk. It truly wasn't fine. She really had missed Addie more than anything. But she had met some people while she was alone and she was truly fine with it. "Putting what off." She asked as she turned to look at her friend.

Was she friends with Alex; No, and she wasn't planning on becoming friends with him ever again. "God no." She said with somewhat of a smile on her face. Did Luci know that Addie was still friends with Alex, yes.

[/b] Adelyn smiled, giving a small shrug. Well, another good thing that came out of it was that she now had a class with Luci. As long as they were still talking, Adelyn was relieved for that. "I feel really bad about it, Luce," Adelyn stated, with a slight sigh. "I shouldn't have ditched you like I did. So, again, I'm sorry." Luci was practically a sister to her. She was also one of her only friends. Adelyn wasn't sure what she'd been thinking the past couple of months... but she was going to make sure it didn't happen again.

As Luci questioned what she'd been putting off, Adelyn figured she probably should spill out her secret. But, she hesitated as she heard Luci's response to her question. "You don't care that I'm still his... erm... friend, do you?" She asked. This was going to be a lot harder to explain that she'd thought since Luci and Alex still weren't talking. She planned on fixing that later on, though. She had to tackle one problem at a time. And she needed to start with it now.

"Uh...Carmen Davis? Uh I don't like her." Luci said laughing a little. "You were smart to switch classes!" She said laughing hoping to get Addie to laugh with her. She messed with the hairbands on her wrist that she never took off never. "Addie, its fine truly it is." Was it fine for Luci? No but did she want her friend to feel guilty? No. She truly didn't want to make her friend feel guilty. After the island she bonded more with her sister and family for not being social and went on a lot of adventures.

"Nah I truly don't care. As long if you don't you know make me and him hang out then I am entirely fine." Luci said with a small shrug. She didn't care if they were friends as long they weren't going out or anything but she wouldn't say that even though she knew that they might in the future.

[/b] Adelyn admitted with a slight shrug. She laughed a bit as Luci said she was smart to switch classes. "I guess so. Oh! That reminds me. Me and Callie are throwing a party a week from Saturday. You're invited, if you wanna come." She stated with a grin. As she said it was fine, Adelyn gave a small nod. She sighed slightly, knowing that it probably wouldn't be as fine once Luci knew the other half the story. But, for now, she managed a smile. "Thanks."

"I didn't even think of doing that," Addie lied, with a sheepish grin. Okay, so maybe getting them in the same room wasn't such a good idea. They were both against the idea. But, she was going to get them to make up... eventually. "I'm glad that you don't care because I kinda have something to tell you..." Adelyn twisted the strand of hair even tighter around her finger as she looked down at the floor. "What would say if I told you that... I'm dating Alex?" Her voice trailed off toward the end of the question and she didn't bother looking up. She was too worried about what her reaction was going to be.

"You guys didn't like hit each other did you?" She asked smiling. "Cause if you did I am sorry that I missed it." She said laughing. "Callie really? I would never think that she would throw a party." Luci said trying to be funny. She smiled then laughed. "I think I might. To see what happens. I heard Carmen is having a party. Just wondering if it is true?" She said laughing still.

"Yeah. Him and me in the same room together wouldn't work out to well." She said. Luci was sure that if she was put in a room with him they would come out worse then they went it. She grinned at her thought. "I would laugh." Luci said laughing. But when she looked at Addie's face her smile and laugh faded. "Addie, you can't be serious? Alex? Really? You really can do better." She said frowning.

[/b] She explained with a grin. The ironic part of it was that Carmen ended up being her ride home even after the argument. But, Addie didn't really want to admit that right then. Instead, she grinned at Luci's statement and couldn't help but to laugh. "I know. It is kinda odd for her. But, she does love a good party just as much as me," She grinned. At Luci's next question, Adelyn nodded. "Yeah, that's true. She's having a party with her one friend... June, was it? She invited me somewhere in between our argument. I'm not sure when her party is, though." Adelyn shrugged with a small smile.

"That's probably true." Adelyn couldn't help but to giggle. But, even if that was true she planned to fix their friendship sooner or later. She just wasn't planning on telling either of them that just yet. As Luci asked if she was serious, Adelyn shrugged. She considered lying, but she had done so much of it in the past couple weeks she chose not to. "Well, I don't know about that. But, yes, I'm serious. We've kinda been dating for a little while now..." She shrugged, glancing up at Luci.

"Dang it." Luci said quietly. "I mean aww man you didn't kick her ass? Well that must suck now." Luci said smirking hoping that she would get it. "I remember your guys birthday parties. Good times good times." Luci said looking up and the ceiling then laughing. She turned her attention back to Adelyn. "God June Madison. I hate her so much. Isn't she friends with Callie?" Luci asked.

"Uh huh." She said nodding her head. "What?! Alex?! Since when?!" Luci asked in shock. She couldn't help but have her mind wonder off. Telling the difference from her dreams and reality was easy for her anymore, it sucked for her. Luci regained the reality she thought was true.

[/b] She grinned, shaking her head jokingly. Her and Carmen always seemed to get into some pretty big fights. But, Adelyn didn't do fist fights. Luci probably knew that by now. "Just wait till you see our sweet sixteen. Now that'll be a good time." She beamed, laughing just a bit. If there was one thing she enjoyed doing, that was throwing big parties. She usually convinced her sister to join in on it. And, even if they were barely fifteen, she was already planning their sixteenth party. "Unfortunately. Callie has poor taste in friends," Addie replied with a shrug, "I can't stand most of them. Including June."

Adelyn bit her lip, twisting her hand tighter around her finger. If she twisted it anymore, she was sure her finger was going to turn purple. She quickly let the piece of hair go and shrugged. Luci wasn't going to like her answer. "Since about the time you and him quit talking," She admitted. "I ran into him that night on the beach and we just... clicked." She added quietly. Her gaze shifted to her shoes as she sighed. Who knew telling the truth was so hard?

"Ooo Can I help?" Luci asked smiling. Luci wondered how it would be if Luci and Addie went against Carmen, maybe they would beat here even with June. "When is it again?" Luci asked joking. Luci wasn't going to turn sixteen for a while and she didn't want to throw a party but maybe Carlie will throw her one against her will who knows. "And how are you too related?" She asked joking. Luci didn't like Callista that much. "What about Massie. She seems like a bitch." Luci said.

Luci didn't even know what to say. She didn't even know if she wanted to say anything. She stared at her desk. She wasn't going to look up she wasn't going to talk about it at all. Luci pulled out her notebook and started reviewing things. She acted like Adelyn wasn't even there.

That would be a unique situation. "My birthday? July, silly. We still have a long wait." Adelyn replied with a slight frown. She was counting down the days till she could get her license. Sadly, for her, that was like eleven months away. Yeah, she had a long wait. "In the mean time, how about we throw you a party?" She suggested with a grin. She shrugged as Luci asked how they were related. "I have no idea," Adelyn joked with a grin. "And I don't know Massie too well. But, she's friends with them so she probably is a bitch." She shrugged.

When Luci didn't respond, Adelyn frowned. This wasn't going over well. "Luci, don't be mad at me! I've been trying to tell you.... but we were fighting. I couldn't help but to wait to tell you," She insisted, with a small sigh. Okay, so that wasn't entirely the truth. But, she wasn't about to tell Luci that she and Alex had decided to keep their relationship a secret from everyone. Especially her. "If it makes you feel any better, you're the first person I told..." She offered.
