height: 5’10
weight: 140 lbs.
build Slim
eyes: Bright and blue, Landon’s eyes may appear very piercing at times, while in contrast may also appear very mellow, depending on how he is feeling as they reflect his emotions. For the great majority of the time, however, his eyes just appear calm and content, as that is the most common emotion Holloway conveys.
hair: Dirty blonde and prided with detail, Landon’s hair is visibly styled to flatter his face shape. Slightly short, but long enough to flip out, Landon’s hair style undeniably has a young feel to it, while also maintaining his preppy look. ….you want to know one of Landon’s secrets? …he spends way too much time styling it….
distinguishing features: Distinguishing features? Well, one would definitely have to be his style. While dressing casual on some occasions, Holloway usually maintains a preppy look; by choice, of course. And even when not in the usual prep attire, he still puts a great deal of effort into his appearance, which is noticeable. Common descriptions of older girls talking about him usually use the words, “adorable” and “cute.” And while he would rather be known as “hot” and “handsome” he settles for what he is. Another distinguishing feature would be just the general vibe he puts out. Landon’s confident and outspoken, but soft on the inside. One can usually sense this when they’re around him.
tattoos and piercings: n/a
personal style: Landon’s personal style is indeed a reflection of his personality. Wealthy and not afraid to hide it, his clothing is expensive and fashionable- yet does not call out for attention. Rather it is to say, “I’m here. But I’m not desperate.” With the type of money Landon has, it’s only natural that he buys his clothing from expensive retailers, but that doesn’t mean he throws it at everyone’s face. His appearance doesn’t scream money, it just mentions it in passing. However, if you think Landon-Dallas doesn’t take his appearance seriously; you are horribly wrong. Although he’d never confess to it, he spends far too much time in front of the mirror; especially in the morning before school, making sure his hair is ‘flawless’. But as content as he is with him self, his need to look ‘perfect’ stems out of an old insecurity which he possessed when he was younger…
appearance: When Landon arrives at school, he comes off looking like what he is…a slightly Stuck-up Sweetheart. Landon’s clothing style varies from preppy to casual; mostly preppy, and even when he’s not dressed up, you can still tell he put effort in to whatever outfit he is wearing. And when I say prep, I mean real prep, not fake prep, if you follow. While not going as far to sport a fake school uniform, there’s definitely some Ralph Lauren inspired looks in Landon Dallas’s wardrobe. This all relates back to his personality; intelligent, talkative, and social. He holds himself with confidence and contentedness, standing straight and possessing a light causal walk. You can usually tell just by looking at Landon that he’s not any threat, but still someone who is social and likes knowing a lot of people.

strengths:
Cheering people up
Making new friends
Writing/Editing
Good with words
Confident (to an extent)
Multi-lingual
Soccer
Guitar (don’t tell!)
Soft-Hearted
Comical
weaknesses:
A little stuck-up
Has a hard time admitting he’s wrong
Football (He’s horrible, don’t tell)
Has a happy façade
Hides a lot of his real feelings
greatest fear: Being a complete failure in all aspects.
greatest desire: Success in all aspects. Career, social circle, love, marriage, etc.
habits and quirks: Quietly singing to himself when he walks somewhere alone, catching a glimpse of himself in the mirror, playing with his pencil when he’s bored in class (and dropping it)
overall personality: Thoughtful and talkative, Landon usually isn’t afraid to be the first one to speak out or say “hi” to the new girl. With a love of socializing, Landon appears confident with himself and what he’s doing. He’s also a really friendly guy. He doesn’t really judge people on what class they’re from or their hobbies. He’s really down with being friends with everyone, and let me assure you, he likes knowing a lot of people. He’s the type of guy who would rather have a large group of friends, which means he’s always up for making new ones. Landon comes off very confident to most, even though he’s a lot more insecure than he lets on. Secretly, he’s very sensitive and prone to embarrassment. He hides many of his feelings and it’s very hard for him to let people in, even with him being so friendly.
Another side of Landon is his intelligence; he’s a pretty smart guy. He speaks English and French fluently, and is also studying Spanish and Mandarin Chinese. Foreign languages come easy to him, but his real love is for English. He likes writing and gives excellent critiques, although he’s sometimes a little harsh. He also loves literature, but he has high expectations about what he reads and if the author doesn’t live up to those expectations he’ll easily throw the book out. Landon also fully enjoys soccer, it being the only sport he really likes.
Sometimes Landon can be stuck up, but inside he’s really soft hearted. In fact, some guys would probably call him a wimp of they found out all the things he hides. He hates scary movies because they give him nightmares, and he’s also terrified of cats. In fact, under his happy façade lies someone with a lot of fears. He also is a closet poet and guitar player. Even though he has a hard time admitting he’s wrong, those that know him best find he’s a great listener and really cares about his friends. He’s also usually fun to hang out with. [/ul]

history: Landon-Dallas’s life begins with two stories; his mother, Audrey Anderson Holloway; and his father, Rodney Michael Holloway. Audrey was born in Boston, Massachusetts, after her father, Spencer Anderson, brought back his wife, Marie Lacroix Anderson, from France. Spencer Anderson was an American journalist who had temporarily moved to Lyon to cover a story, and had met Marie there. Following their marriage and after her paper work had gone through, Marie joined her husband at Newspaper headquarters in Boston. Although she was sad to leave her home country, she had no regrets. Quickly following, their only child, Audrey, was born.
Audrey was an independent spirit, and although she was academically gifted, her real love was acting. When she turned eighteen she decided to move to Los Angeles to go to college and try to get a break in acting. To her parent’s dismay, after only two years, she left school to try and become a full time actress. Because of her debt due to college, and not getting enough money through acting alone, she took up a minor job at an insurance company to pay the rent. After two years of this, she finally got a recurring role on a television show. Even though the show wasn’t really her style, she was grateful for it. She was also able to keep her insurance job at the same time.
-But now to Landon’s dad. Rodney Holloway was born in New Jersey, seventeen years before Audrey was born in France. He was a very driven student, and his determination stayed with him after graduation. He attended a prestigious university and graduated with a bachelor’s in business. He contemplated getting his masters, but decided it would benefit him more to go straight into the field, so he did. He got a job at an insurance company in New York City, and his intelligence and hard work quickly moved him up with promotions. He continued to work hard until an alternative insurance company offered him a position, and he took it. By this point, Rodney was beyond the dreams of simply getting paid well; he wanted power and control. But he wanted something else as well. He’d been dating a beautiful model from Texas for awhile, and decided to marry her. Her name was Diana. The two had an undeniable connection and she quickly became pregnant. Rod then had his first child, a girl, named Jackie. At this point he returned to college to receive his masters of business. After that he returned to an insurance company with a better job. Within that time Diana had also given birth to his second daughter, Sarah, only to be followed two years later by their next daughter, Britney.
All was well with Rod Holloway, and he was sill working and clawing his way up the ladder, which meant he was spending less time at home. In fact, his girls were seeing less and less of him. Diana was afraid her daughters would grow up without really knowing their dad. And despite the fact that they had once been so in love, Diana began to despise her husband. She constantly pleaded with him to spend more time at home, but it seemed like his career had completely taken over him. He was always gone at the office or out of town conferences. He wasn’t there for her or the kids. He wouldn’t listen to Diana, and grew tired of her “nagging.” But the promotions kept coming. And things were never better at work. Finally, Diana’s and Rod’s tension escalated to divorce.
A few years passed. And then Rodney Holloway was promoted and transferred to Los Angeles. The company had set up a new branch headquarters over there and wanted Rodney to head it. With him being so high up, of course he didn’t know that Audrey Anderson was employed there. A few years went by, and Rodney was getting tired of being alone. The ship had sailed with Diana but that didn’t mean he couldn’t be with others…He started dating, even though he was still married to his work. He wasn’t really looking for a long term relationship anyways.
Meanwhile, Audrey’s distaste for the show she was on was making her sick of acting. What had once been love for acting was now annoyance. But she still trudged on, hoping that she’d get an offer on another show. She also worked hard at her insurance job, channeling all her frustration with her other job into hard work. And finally, ironically enough, she met the man that would become her husband. Rodney Holloway was performing a check on all the departments. Since Audrey had become the “shining light” in her department, she got to talk with the boss for a few moments. He slowly recognized her from somewhere and then came to conclusion that she was an actress on a television show he’d seen sometime. It interested him that one of his employees was in the show business and after that kept tabs on her. Finally they got to talking more often and that lead to more. And eventually, Audrey was engaged and she decided to say goodbye to day time television forever.
Unlike Diana, Audrey didn’t put up a fuss about not seeing Rodney very much. When they married, Audrey was happy to spend the money Rodney was making own her own. While Rodney Holloway slaved away at the office, Audrey went out with friends and experienced LA life. She was a married woman, with a single girl attitude. She kept up with the latest trends and felt more alive than ever. Money does that to people. Finally, and unexpectedly, Audrey got pregnant. Nine months later, on August 12th, Landon Dallas Holloway was born. Although busy with work, Rodney was delighted. He spoiled his son immensely.
Although Rodney Holloway brought home the bacon, Audrey really raised Landon by herself and had the freedom to do whatever she wanted with him. He would spend entire summers in France with his Grandparents and mom, and often traveled to other places with her. Because of this, he became fluent in French very quickly. Audrey really babied her son, and tried to make all her single friends jealous. For the first few years of Landon’s life, he really knew nothing but the life Audrey presented him with. But that changed. When his dad was given the Vice President position in the company, the family of three relocated to New York City. There, Rodney had more time to take control and have more father-son moments. But most importantly, Landon-Dallas was exposed to his three older half sisters. The oldest, Jackie, was going through a divorce with her husband, Drew, who Rod Holloway really happened to like. There was a sort of tension there that Landon wasn’t old enough to understand. And the spoiling seemed to ease as Audrey didn’t dot on her son so often. Things changed.
Which sort of brings us to the now. Landon is sixteen and independent of his parents…for the most part. Audrey spends most of her time downtown working and socializing; she heads a charity foundation and also has a love for fashion which keeps her investing in trendy designers. Oh, and did I mention, Landon’s dad is now a CEO? That means big money, and lot’s of time golfing. In fact, these days Landon probably sees his dad more than he does his mom, which is okay; his dad gives him more space. However, his dad does give him one thing his mom doesn’t; pressure; pressure to be successful; pressure to excel; pressure to be perfect. Landon’s heard the “you have a great responsibility on your shoulders” talk a thousand times, and coming from Rod Holloway, it’s quite intimidating.

roleplay sample: Not to confuse, my character is in the middle of a conversation with a new girl. They’re talking about New York. Oh, and for the record, I wasn’t god-modding. She had already posted and I was just going over my character’s thought process to adapt to her post.
Lydia nodded excitedly in agreement to this. "Oh, yes, I loved it! But what's more...all the cool...what's it called?" She searched for the word. "Technological advancements they have in New York."She laughed at her own words but Scarlett for some reason...all the sudden seemed in her own world...Not understanding what had prompted such disconnect, she attempted to bring Scarlett back into the conversation. "It's kind of amazing...you know, technology?" She continued to talk about the subject, sincerely trying to bring Scarlett out of her...well, whatever she was in.
But Scarlett's response was disappointing...it sounded...nervous? Lydia couldn't understand what had lead her to act this way...perhaps Lydia had mistaken her for being more friendly than she really was? Or maybe it was all in Lydia's head? However, as soon as Lydia's concern had dawned, so had Scarlett's dismissal of her odd behavior, and she seemed just as fun as before.
"I know!" The girl agreed. "You'd think since we've got magic on our side, we could come up with a quicker way of mail than owls. And a quicker way of looking things up than massive libraries," Lydia laughed at this comment, for it was very true. Lydia loved her owl, Arthur, to death but had to admit the system was flawed and overly traditional...as well as the whole old book library thing...She smiled warmly at Scarlett, glad that someone else had picked up on this. Some others who she had discussed this with just rolled their eyes at her and thought her ideas "typical of an immature teenager."
The nervousness Lydia had felt when she had openly admitted her reputation was immediately gone when Scarlett responded the way that she did. Glad, and actually pleased that such another girl existed out there that occasionally broke the rules she laughed as the younger Gryffindor mimicked her teachers.
'Scarlett is very bright, but needs to socialize less.' " She laughed along with Scarlett. "Or 'Scarlett has a great talent, but she needs to focus on following directions.'," Lydia couldn't help but chime in her own part.
"How about 'Lydia is an absolutely horrific influence in my classroom. She's yet to put her best foot forward and prevents other students from achieving their full potential. '?" She laughed after confessing the words her mother had received from a letter from one of the professors here at Hogwarts. Although her mother had sent Lydia a howler for it, upon returning that summer Lydia had found the note, read it, and found the whole thing very amusing. She had ended up switching out of the class anyways...the professor was paranoid and easily angered; not a good match with Lydia.
She also laughed when Scarlett confessed that her old Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher had hated her. Lydia understood how it felt to be despised by authority...She didn't intend for it to happen but it usually did. That was why she carried around such a reputation...She didn't like being the object of disapproval but she usually couldn't help herself...at least some teachers here recognized that there was more to her than bad grades.
She looked at Scarlett head on as she asked Lydia what grade she was in.
"Sixth, you?" She turned her head around once more to look for the librarian. After hearing Scarlett's response in whatever she deemed necessary, Lydia added more. "Well, I'm glad I met you. It's good to know that at least someone else falls asleep in the library. Just be careful you don't get caught." She winked after saying her last words. "Other than that, I think you'll like it here. It just takes some getting used to. Hogwarts can be really fun, if you let it. And if you ever get bored, come find me. I'll hook you up with something...if you're up for it." She truly meant her last words. She was always open to having some fun with a new friend, but she wanted to make sure that they liked to have the same sort of "fun" as she did...often times, it was risky...as in, you could get into trouble. Other times, not so much...but one thing about Lydia Nowan, she loved to laugh and everyone that knew of her knew that.
